Only a few days left until release. smile
Disappointing that there's only two official trucks on release, with the rest waiting on licensing approval but mod authors are sure to pick up the slack.

Nothing confirmed from SCS about compatibility as far as I know, but it is essentially an expandalone to ETS2, so I expect the American truck mods will probably come over quite quickly. I think some more licenced trucks are coming soon, once they add Arizona the content is pretty reasonable to me for £15.

It looks like this is on the money about how it isn't appreciably different from ETS, but it should be good. Things like the weighbridge and parking difficulty stuff are nice touches. It's the same higher fidelity better optimised ETS2 of the Scaninavia DLC and has some nice details, so it does look alright. I assume it's still using MLAA so not brilliant, Scandinavia looks fantastic with SSGSSA injected and runs better than the original parts of the map, this should benefit from that.

I don't think I'll be touching this for a while, I'm still very gradually trying to near as 100% both map DLCs, and Promods which keeps getting bigger smile

Squirrel is streaming it on Twitch all weekend if you fancy an early look.

I'm getting this as my ETS2 profile is still lots of fun, hopefully they will be quick about releasing new trucks. At least they took the time to release a statement to say why there was only two (will link when I'm not at work!) but the two main points are:

- truck companies have no precedent for licencing their trucks
- chicken and egg ("do we want to licence our trucks on a game that might not be successful")

Apparently the Peterbilt 389 is coming into the game shortly, and hopefully it will be as good as the mod on ETS2

I'm hoping some mod author will release the Happy Toyz truck. evil

I've been watching Squirrel through the day and I forgot how frustrating starting off and levelling up a new profile is.
My ETS2 profile is level 40 and 10.0 XP, so I've unlocked everything and a new profile only unlocks certain upgrades when you level up.

I think $20/€20 is official, going by Steam regional pricing it should be £15 here.

Thanks, I have gone abit overboard with the mods though with quite a few extra trucks and various lighting/wheels/tyres/trailer mods. Going to be hateful next time they do a big update!! Though along with those 3 I only really use this Aussie Kenworth (sorta looks US like)

ets2_00752 by Tom P, on Flickr

and then some scania/DAF mods (won't spam Euro trucks here).

Not long now till this one comes out, think I'm going to be late to work the following day wink

Just reinstalled ETS2 again, as as usual some mods no longer work with the latest patches.

Does anyone have a good "better AI Lights" type mod that works with the latest ets2 version?

True AI Lights and Environment v5.9 doesn't work.
