Let's just read this back a couple of times.
Yeah I know it's set in the Stone Age but it's a pain having to walk everywhere and the only weapons I have at the moment are a club, bow and a dog. I'm hoping this game is grows on me over time. Just pulling your leg, btw.

This is just a guess on my part, but I would imagine that it will be a lot like the Shangri-La missions in FC4.
If you didn't like those (I didn't) then you probably won't like Primal either.
No- they can keep it, not my cup of tea at all.If you didn't like those (I didn't) then you probably won't like Primal either.
I haven't played MGS since the mission where they (for no apparent reason) make you do a mission with no guns, back up etc so not ever having guns sounds terrible
That and I was always like a tt using a bow on FC....
I like it, I really liked 3 and 4, probably preferred 4 to 3 it just felt a bit more polished, the lack of guns just doesn't come up when you get in to primal as a cave man with an ak47 would feel a bit odd, you have bow and arrows for range and clubs and spears for close range, the animals which were a total pain in 3 and 4 seem more cohesive in primal rather than just another obstacle to overcome.
Try it with an open mind you might like it.

Enjoying it so far and found myself getting more drawn in than I had expected. The Flintsones car turning up rather pulled me out of it though, as amusing as it was.
Thinking of earlier comments, I did really really REALLY want a gun early on, but the more I got in to it the less I was inclined. Now it's only the comments on this thread that have made me realise what I'm (not) missing.
