Where's the CTF? You can make a CTF map, but the mode isn't in the multiplayer menu?

Only had time to play through the first level tonight but I like it a lot so far. Fast fluid combat, no hiding behind cover nancy-boy nonsense and gorgeous graphics biggrin

I'm on an old Nvidia 770. Anyone know how this will fare?

I didn't even want the game that much, and I can't really afford it, but it's only £22 on Simply Games...

Holy st it's great.

Love how angry Doomguy is. 5 seconds in and he's breaking heads - who needs cutscenes? He's just like "oh god. Not this st again. You opened Hell AGAIN? ffs"

Some funny stuff here. As you may have seen the supposed 'Games" website Polygon released a video of them playing the first 30 mins of the game, and they were so laughably bad at it that they had to shutdown comments on the video. Someone has now kindly set their abysmal playing skills to music.

Played through the first two levels on XB1, really liking it so far. Gameplay is fast, smooth and brutal, with the glory kills and chainsaw looking like they'll add more depth to proceedings. I like how the game starts almost immediately without any credits sequence or cutscenes, with the protagonist only caring about killing everything in his path. Although I keep instinctively going for the reload button it's so refreshing to to have to decide which two weapons I want to carry or cower behind a wall waiting for my health to reload.

I'm ps4 and I have to say I'm missing a mouse and keyboard for this. It's superfast gameplay really shows how console FPS has slowed down over the years, crouching and ducking and irons sighting. Twin sticks don't cut it with this style - it's so clunky to get a fast bead on things

I have to say it's bloody marvelous.

I'm loving the pace, the atmosphere and the soundtrack. The chain saw is hilarious, back on form with this I think.

The great thing with the chainsaw is they have been clever and given it it's own button and a genuine reason to use it. Blow the st out of everything you can, then pull it out and carve something up to get a complete ammo reload. It's also great for taking out those annoying dudes with the shields

I started the game at midnight on Saturday after most of a bottle of wine and my playing was much better than that!

So c'mon then guys; worth it?

I played the multiplayer beta and thought it was horrific. I found the controls clunky (PC with controller) and the graphics weren't that great.

Is this one built for single player? Desperately wanted it up to the Beta, but it ruined it for me. Give me a reason to buy it!!!
