Does look like the PS4 version can be acquired for just £20. Can only order from 2200 tonight and in certain geographies only.
I see now. So it's £10 off your first order of £30 or more if you are a Prime Now customer. So if you order the PC version for £30, you can indeed get it for £20.

But you are right, you need to be in certain areas to get Prime Now.

But you could get it though your letter box by 2AM on Friday morning !! Is Santa Claus their new delivery van driven then ?

I think I'll get the PC version from CDkeys and use the £10 from Now to order UC4.

I've just bought a new Asus motherboard and it comes with a Doom game code. Also monitors too
It runs until July so maybe if someone is planning on buying Doom but also upgrading too, just hang fire for now.

I have ordered it for delivery today too, took advantage of the £10 off deal when using the prime now app.

I know lots of people are saying it's no good, but we downloaded the beta, which was actually quite good fun.

So we will give it go anyway, as we have got a bit bored with Fallout 4 now, well at least until the Far Harbour DLC comes out!

I almost went for it - ordering at 2320 last night for delivery before 0200 but decided it was a bit antisocial to have a delivery to the house at 0200! Also amazon had already dispatched my other copy.

Interestingly there was an option to add a tip,(the default was £2) that's a new one from amazon!

A tip ?? What ?

Mine has just come a few minutes ago and I'm installing it now. It says it will take 4 hours from disk (I know it's on a USB DVD but even so).

Still, this type of thing is certainly an advantage of working from home.

I don't know what you mean !

It came on a single DVD (7GB) and now Steam is downloading the rest - a hour now to go even with my 60MB fibre connection.

So now I just have to wait - I could even do some work whilst I'm waiting laugh

I did a bit of googling and it seems in America it's common to tip delivery drivers for good service (what? "Well done on driving here with my package my good man, here, have a dollar").

So from what I can gather, Amazon in the UK think this is a good idea. FFS.

Mine's been delivered biggrin

Yeah I thought the tip thing was a bit rich too. Also made me think they just get a local cabbie to nip to my nearest 24hr supermarket and then over to mine. Would like to know how it works, I happily tip takeaway delivery chaps but am not convinced that adding £2 onto the amazon checkout is going to make it to the actual delivery man.

Our prime man delivered ours too, he didn't ask for a top though?.

We've had a quick play, and it's lots of fun, more like an old school shoot up.

So far, so good.

You just run around and shoot things which is right up my street - no thinking required; I do enough of that at work as it is.

And the graphics are the best I've ever seen for a FPS. But then this is the first proper game I've played on my new PC, so I'd like to think it would be good given what I spent on it !

Ok. I'm 2 hours in to the single player.

Verdict . It's ducking brilliant.

Doom at its finest. A solid run and gun. The strained synthetic guitar in the background adds to the tension. And the undead growling is kinda jumpy. The game goes from tense slow maze to a room full of screaming undead in moments.

Yellow red and blue pascards areally still there. The guns feel like they have delivered a shot. And an interesting touch is they are upgradable. I've got single shotgun, blaster. Chainsaw. And chain gun.

The undead move rapidly and look really good. One brilliant feature is you can stun and finish off an enemy with a series of hand to hand moves.

The maze element is still there and a good mix of claustrophobic or open levels.

I'm really pleased with it after being worried following the beta demo.

Not tried multilayer yet but the single player is going to be ace.

That's what I found as well. Lose off a few shots and then tt them.
