Games that deserve a remake ?
Discussion
As already suggested:
- GTA Vice City
- ToCA Touring Car (specifically the 80's & 90's era)
- Micro Machines
- Interstate 76
I'd also add the original Gran Turismo / Gran Turismo 2. The current crop are not worthy of the title and frankly suck! Look how good Forza is in comparison and that game isn't perfect either.

Spy vs Spy
Loved that game.
Oh yes, had it on the C64 Loved that game.
I could +1 many others, but I'm still waiting for a decent Sonic game in 3D. Something like with the physics like Mario 64, and huge environments to explore. The Sonic adventure games were alright but just felt a bit dumbed down control wise compared with Mario 64. I'm sad to say the best effort to date is Sonic R...
Also remake NFSU2, well basiclly just the same game (physics & sound effects) but in a different/bigger map with more cars available.

.....and head over heelz.
Ah, I remember that game, I had it on my Amstrad 464 Plus but much preferred the luscious looking version my Amiga-toting friend had. I have this remade version which plays very nicely and is an exact copy: http://retrospec.sgn.net/games/hoh/downloads.htmlI might download that Head over Heelz, I had it on Spectrum .
One i remember from a mates PS1 back when I was a student was Bushido Blade. Japanese swordfighting game, no energy bars or lives or anything, if you got hit, you died, or part of you got injured so you carried on with the sword in the other hand, or crawling if you were hit in the leg, still fighting. So you could get somebody and end the game in one hit, or you could do the Monty Python Black Knight thing and clip an arm, then the other arm, then a leg, then the other leg...
For the time, the graphics and the environments were great, one was on a beach, as you walked around it left footprints in the sand, if you ran into the water, the tide would take the footprints away each time, if you swung the sword around in a bamboo forest, you might cut down a tree.

What was the name of the PC game in the mid to late 90's similar to Defcon?
I remember you chose a country and controlled not just the nuclear strikes but everything else too. Main screen was a very serious looking table in a dark room surrounded by your advisers with large monitors overhead.
