Carmageddon and destruction derby. They would be amazing with today's in game physics and graphics.

Any and all of the Janes stuff, such a shame that line ended.
I have a game called Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations, which is the Jane's games in all but name, and likely considerably more complex. Very much a game of ordering NATO standard icons around a map - imagination required!

Road Rash
When I worked at EA around 8 years ago, there was a reboot of Road Rash in development using the Burnout engine. It got canned.
There is Road Redemption out now, which again is Road Rash in all but name, but its a load of crap at this stage. Wasn't there a Road Rash game that came out several years ago? I think it was set on Hawaii or some island, and was fairly free-roaming. Pretty sure that was a bad game as well.

Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 - Nemesis. They released an updated graphics version of Resident Evil 1 for the Game Cube about 14 years ago that was absolutely amazing for its time though may look dated by now. Would be fantastic to see these two classic games updated.

Also a sequel to Command & Conquer Generals.

Sub sims, plane sims, historic sims, strategic sims, update the graphics, improved AI, cooperative servers now with decent bandwidth (The WWII aircraft sim was great) etc.

My thoughts have always been Crash Bandicoot - PS1 Format.

I have often thought if someone was to make the old crash bandicoot (same levels and same features) available as an app, they would make themselves a small fortune!

Leisure Suit Larry
Dungeon Keeper
Civilization 2
Mechwarrior
Hogs of War

Some of these may have had sequels but they just weren't as good!
DungeonKeeper 2 was brilliant, back in 1999. I want remakes of both 1 and 2.

Not a remake but a sequel. War For The Overworld (2015) http://store.steampowered.com/app/230190/

Andrew Braybrook said recently that he wants to get back into writing games, so a new version of Paradroid may happen. I think it would make an ideal mobile game, which is where the money seems to be.

That looks very DK2-ish. I will check it out. Thanks.

Don't know about a remake but I'd be more than happy if most games had split screen multi player. Many hours spent having a few beers and a pizza with mates, a good laugh.

I'm impressed, I think almost everything I thought of has has already been mentioned

  • Cannon fodder
  • X-wing/Tie fighter
  • Railroad Tycoon
  • Syndicate (the newer X-Com games are similar, but no persuadertron)

However no mention of the game I still break out the old XP laptop for every so often:
Stars!

It's had 2 remakes, Gunship 2000 and Gunship! I agree though, great game.

Sooooo much detail. Still needs work to be a good game IMO, eg it's trying to be operation level but requires the player to set up individual bombing runs. The Professional Edition is starting to get some good enhancements though.

A modern version of Theatre Europe would be good. You could have fps sections and CnC type strategies as well as a more modern setting.

Delta Force - Land Warrior.

Project IGI.

Both flawed but fab stealthy shooters.

Jurassic Park - Tresspasser. Far too ambitious for the time.
