Red dead redemption 2 map leaked online
Discussion
As per the title. The new maps been leaked & it's bloody huge! The Great Plains area from the old game is on there & is literally tiny compared to the rest of it. I'm so excited. RDR was prob my favourite ever game & the only game that I decicated so much time to just exploring every nook & cranny purely for the pleasure of it. Story was compelling too.
The new games going to be a prequel to the first so hopefully John marston will be back. There's been so much talk for a fair few years about when this games going to come out but hopefully this is a sign it's coming in the next year or so.

This might make me finally get a PS4, I loved the Red Dead Redemption - So atmospheric!
Although at times I secretly wished they had a cheat for a GTA Sanchez, for burning about
True at times getting from place to place could take a while on your trusty steed, however I think I knew that bloody map inside out by the end of the game which I probably couldn't say about GTA apart from the main roads/ areas. RDR was also my favourite PS3 game. Played it so much that I collected every plant/herb and did almost everything else in the game. I think I got >99% completion. Didn't know they were doing another, but that is awesome news!
Hopefully it will appear on PC at some point even though I do own a PS4. But PC is > PS4

Seriously, things have moved on.
They're gonna need to shake things right the fk up to get my attention.
I agree - every open world game that comes out they make a big fuss over the map size. Its this big, blah, blah, its bigger than that. Who cares. It could be almost infinite in size but if there isn't anything to do in the world then whats the point. RDR was guilty of this - everything was a long ride across the map to perform some pathetic kill / fetch quest. Also based on the period the game was set in there was literally nothing around but tumbleweed and cactus. It was an utter bore fest.Seriously, things have moved on.

But seriously it's too early to call it out as "rubbish" but my point is that the open world genre is done to death, would you not agree?
you are good at problems not solutions.
I for one am a fan of a tried and tested format.Battlfield works, Wolfenstein works, GTA works. I am not a fan of the force you online co-op ste such as destiny and the division, I'm not a fan of the BF4 commander idea. I'm a massive fan of online but an even bigger fan of off line story mode.
I am looking forward to this, I missed RDR first time around but recently purchased it for the 360 so I am looking forward to playing it.
What would you want from a game? You dont want grid based, you dont want open world, what do you want?

Red dead was a great game. I will be more than happy to play a new version. The next gen consoles desperately need an open world game set in a new engaging world. I love gta V and think this next red dead will be fantastic.

Although RDR was a bit of a slog in terms of travelling, The story/gameplay were amazing and I really want to play again but cant be bothered getting an older console (Wheres the PC Port!)
Similar to max payne, Nothing was ground breaking in that game in terms of FPS but the story/gameplay were so good you just wanted to keep playing and actually cared about the character.
Compared to say modern call of duty where generic soldier #1 says some terribly scripted pun to generic soldier #2 and your just waiting for the 47th cutscene to end before killing more endless shooty drones coming at you.
GTA5 was a bit between both, I couldn't quite gel with the characters and the story split between 3 was a bit of a mess,
But san andreas/read dead were perfect. "All you had to do was follow the damn train CJ"
