I hope so, and it's not just a promo for RDR ports coming to PS4 etc.

I really liked RDR, even if it was a big buggy and the online was a wild as the real wild-west - hacked to death.

Not sure a bigger map is the answer, it took long enough to get about in the last one - but it was a game that I enjoyed playing at a more relaxed pace than GTA - I might spend a few real world hours on a hunting expedition.

I'm not holding my breath though, it was nearly 2 years between the first GTA V trailer and the game actually arriving.

Loved the first one. Really, really hope a sequel is due some time soon.

Quite, but other than the incremental visual improvements I'm not sure what they could do to improve it - it was that good.

Found Red dead redemption a good game (Never played revolver) but once completed it never really held my attention after that. the Undead nightmare add on was pretty good to be fair. It will be interesting to see if they approach this game like they have with GTAV and give free content over it's course to MP so that players come back again and again to play.

EDIT

Should also add it would be nice if they can add the ability to traverse water this time round as well!

12 months of 'leaks' both real and fictional, hype and tiny nuggets of facts isn't too bad I suppose for Rockstar.

7 different protagonists?
12 months to wait, nothing like a long lead time to ensure they beat the GTA5 sales records.

Maybe, it's said to be a prequal. I seem to recal in that the main character was part of a gang before the events of that one. It's probably them.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.
An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
Watch the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer at 11AM Eastern on Thursday, October 20th here on Facebook, at rockstargames.com, as well at the official Rockstar Games YouTube and Twitch pages.

I expected a late 2017 release date, but no doubt this will fall back a little. RD doesnt need much in order to improve, game play was good, story was good. Graphics and Map size improvements are a given.

I mostly enjoyed the hunting you could do in the game.

If there are several protaganists, you have the opportunity to be a nice guy and an 'outlaw'! YEEHAW!

If you have the means, you should get it...it is brilliant

I am looking forward to this, perhaps I am reading too much into the title...but i would have thought they would have opted for another name (unless there are links)

dusted of my 360 version of read dead last night and started from the beginning.

enjoying it so far. Still at Mcfarlanes ranch but I'll aim to complete this over the next 12 months so i'm ready for RDR2.

The guy in the promo, second from left - the bowler hat - maybe it's that copper/FBI bloke that killed/betrayed John at the end.

Spoilered 'cause I noticed a poster above hasn't played the first one.

I loved the original, especially the ending and central theme of the dying days of the old West and the inevitable march of technology. Looking forward to this but hoping it's not co-op based as the poster seems to suggest

The map is huge! And certainly not sparse.
