Demolition didn't exist on COD4 mate, I think it first appeared on MW2.

Is that the game mode where either team has a bomb site amd everyone has a bomb? That was called Sabotage IIRC.

Sabotage is one bomb.

Defend your own base but attack the enemy one. Plant it and then hope the enemy doesn't defuse it.

I split my gaming time between Ghosts on the PS3 and this on the PS4. I still love playing Ghosts which I know goes against the general opinions on COD. I enjoy the maps, the variety of short, medium and long range and I like the classes. I'm good at it and I don't have a sniper class. I enjoy MW Remastered but I'm finding that I'm constantly getting sniped from people I can't even see on the screen. It's a LOT more campy and a lot less run and gun focused which is why I play Ghosts. I detest the camping style of play and snipers and I'm absolutely hopeless with a sniper anywhere but feel I need to change my thinking to be any good at it. I do like the maps and the remastered graphics but I think I'll spend a bit more time on the old console. I am middle aged and stuck in my ways a bit biggrin

I find there are a few maps where you can run and gun, and some where you just have to camp a bit like others.

Depends what you want to do.

I can't snipe at all, but sometimes do just to have a go, get 2/3 kills all game, but its very satisfying when you get the kills. Sometimes I will run and gun and end up with negative KD, but enjoy the game more. I can't camp, I am useless at this also, however, I do try occasionally just to mix it up.

There's a decent variety of maps on it, but I certainly seem to get claimed from all over the place, which is frustrating, but I'm really not that fussed about a 12 year old kicking my ass.

Some maps are brilliant, others are rubbish and you get people hiding in doorways and cubby holes so it seems every time you run past a building, someone shoots you in the back, which can get frustrating. I always vote on the map screen to try to influence the map choice, most of the time this works but sometimes you just get outvoted and have to either quit or accept the next 5 minutes are going to be crap. Luckily the rounds don't last that long.

My worse one I think is Bog at the moment, it seems almost every time you spawn, some spawn camper already has you in their sights. I think my average life expectancy on that map is about 5 seconds if I'm lucky.

Bog is murder!! Especially when you get shot through the building walls!! Campers/quickscopers paradise that map.

What's that tiny map with the metal containers? I felt sorry for the opposition team last night. I spawned into the middle of this map during a game, I spotted one guy who I promptly shot. As I was still spraying bullets, 2 of his team mates spawned next to him and I got the luckiest triple kill ever. Saying that, later on a random grenade wiped out most of my team a few seconds later!

I have an anti camp class on Ghosts which I never use unless there are more than 2 or 3 opponents blatantly camping on the opposition team. I don't enjoy this style of play but sometimes feel the need for revenge on teams of campers so I "out camp them". Sometimes they are so good at it I end up getting killed a lot but again, yesterday I managed to exact revenge on one sneaky little gimp. Silenced gun, off the radar, thermal and dead silent. I parked myself up next to his favourite spot and kept killing him, moving subtly around each time until after 6 straight kills, he rage quit and I reverted back to my fast run and gun class. Doesn't always work like I say but it's brilliant when it does.

Storage. Goes either great or piss poor for me. Often have games where I die as soon as I spawn, then they get the helicopter which is a game ruiner on that map. Great fun if you can get going though biggrin

I only play Hardcore and never seen Storage either, I guess it is excluded from the playlists.

Storage is great fun, OK it's a frag fest but unlike Bog I actually enjoy playing it as you don't often get spawn killed, it's just the map is so small you are never more than a few seconds away from an enemy.

I often go with the shotgun for this map, OK it's not going to put me top most games but stting people up by splatting them with it at point blank range as they come round a container is just priceless.

Guessing you don't think you've played it because the one with the containers is called 'Shipment', not Storage. Not a fan of it either way myself. Joke spawns all over the place and once a team starts getting kill streaks, the other team are on a hiding to nothing. I think subsequent small-scale fast paced maps like Rust and Nuketown were better.

I'd agree with the comments above about camping and sniping. The maps have head glitches and little tucked away corners all over the place. I can see why subsequent games used a cleaner environment. Having said that, for whatever reason i find sniping on MWR way easier than the more recent CoD games and snipe quite a bit, if only to achieve parity with everyone else doing the same.

All the camping and sniping drove me up the wall when i first started playing, but once you've learnt the maps and how to get around them whilst avoiding the long lines of sight, it can be a lot of fun to run a counter-sniping class. Personally, i use a silenced P90 with counter-UAV and dead silence. On maps like Crossfire it can be hilarious. Just stick to the buildings and stab everyone camping in the back. The same class also works a treat on Vacant in you avoid the open areas outside and the inevitable sniper battle in the southern area of the map.

My favourite maps:

1. Crossfire
2. Overgrown
3. Ambush
4. Crash
5. Wetwork (its 50/50 as half the time its full of run and gunners)

Shipment is fun for just run and gun madness.

I much prefer camping and trying to pick people off. Run and gun is just luck based for me, just running blindly shooting anything that moves. Quickscoping (when people use sniper rifles and scope up and shoot without aiming) seems like cheating to me.

Nothing seems like about it, quick-scoping IS cheating as far as I am concerned as it's clearly exploiting a bug. I called someone out on it on a game the other day who used it to go 24-3 on a game. They tried to deny all knowledge but the last kill slo-mo kill cam clearly showed them doing it, what's worse is the shot was nowhere near on target but due to the QS bug it still registers a hit.

Tbh it's one of my major bugbears with MW, I know it was in the original game too but you'd really think they'd have made an effort to fix what is a game breaking bug.
