Good days. I was still playing this last year!
Dave! Long time no speak. Hope the family's well. If this is any good on the PC I'll get an Xbox one and get it for that to.
Old habits die hard, eh?

I did Dave yeah, still got it. Played it a little bit but found the controller too small for my big hands and thus wasn't as skilled. Plus the PS3 lot were different. Pretty much wasted the £40 but I've a habit of doing that with games.
ETA: I get the feeling they'll see how popular it is before remastering the other maps. Bit pointless spending that effort if it's a flash in the pan.

1 million percent getting this. Won't even touch infinite warfare.
Bad news then as it's looking more and more likely that this is going to come bundled with IW and not sold separately. It also appears you must buy the special £70 "Legacy Edition" of Infinite Warfare

Probably works cheaper than buying the actual game if it were separate.

I just caught wind of this to and am quite excited about it. They'd better not fk it up or I will never buy another COD again. I've got all of them I think (even the early ones on the PS1). I don't want anymore of that halo jumping super mashup setups ste. I can only play the new ones for a bit before going back to GTA. Just quick fire action straight into battle COD was always best for. Such a good feeling running in a room shooting dead several enemies and surviving. Remember shipment? Pretty much certain a 100 kills game, sit in the corner with the RPD.
Polarbert and I spent many hours as a hit squad in COD4, often to the early hours. When we had the full team it was even better, or even at its height we had an entire lobby of PH'ers.
I don't care how much it costs or that it'll be the same play wise and maps wise. It'll look much better on my bad ass gaming PC and I really would like it again.
ETA: there's no way they'll sell this on its own. You'll have to buy the job lot.

I just can't help but think there's a catch here somewhere yet to be revealed. Surely any developer wants people to play its current game and, more pertinently, buy the subsequent CoDs after Infinite Warfare too. I only played the campaign side of Modern Warfare, but there's clearly huge fandom for it. Given that the PS4 and XBone won't be replaced for many years yet, are the developers not concerned that after the CoD community has MW back, that no one will bother with any future CoD games? Seems odd that a franchise hell bent on selling a new game to the community every year and cashing in on DLC and supply drops would run the risk of reducing future profits substantially by releasing a game people are seemingly happy to play ad infinitum. So like i say, i feel there must be a catch or something else i'm missing.

I guess that's the reason it's being bundled with Infinite War, if you've coughed up the readies for that then I guess from a financial point of view it makes no difference to them whether you subsequently play nothing but the remastered Modern Warfare. I'm not much of a COD player these days but I assume there isn't any revenue stream beyond actually purchasing the game/dlc?It may even get people buying it who wouldn't otherwise have purchased Infinite War.
And whilst the remastered MW might be good enough to keep plenty of people hooked for another few years, there are always going to be those who will jump in and purchase the shiny new game every time one is released.
I suspect Infinite War will still be a huge seller as those who want the sci-fi COD will lap it up in droves, and those who want the remastered MW will lap it up in droves.

Yup.It also appears you must buy the special £70 "Legacy Edition" of Infinite Warfare
Like others, I've got no interest in the modern COD games.
I'll waste loads of money on games and dlc but even I wouldn't pay £70 for a remastered COD game I've still got on my laptop.

If I dislike IW when I buy and play, it will be traded straight in and I'll be bashing the remaster.
