It sounds interesting but the way they describe it, it sounds like they aren't aware of BF1942. nuts

I will be buying this, played all of the previous starting with 1942 + mods on PC and currently BF4 on PS4 with mates.

I do hope it returns to a WW2 or WW1 to change it up a little.

Yeah I'd love to see a WW1 'Battlefield' game, but I suspect it wouldn't really work that well in practice.

Whoever got to man the trench machine guns / artillery batteries would be level-100 in a couple of weeks, whilst the rest of the foot sloggers would be whinging about their K/D ratios... Or more likely both sides would stay routed in their trenches taking pot-shots at each other across no-mans land. A campers wet dream!

The air-to-air combat would be spectacular fun mind.

Think I'd prefer to be 3 miles back from the front line on the big Artillery guns.

yes

Plus you could have barbed wire as one of the gadgets, and maybe even a trenching tool too, allowing you to construct your own defenses... scratchchin

The anti-camping brigade would lose their minds! nuts

Lets face it. CoD went to the future so where does DICE with EA as pay masters have to go?

No one will no until 2100 tonight but from what I have read its a WW1 with an alternate universe lol. I hope I am very wrong as I was going to try and get into Battlefield as COD has lost all and I mean all the things that made it great. I haven't liked a COD since MW3.

PS3/XBOX 360 was all about WW2/Current wars/modern. PS4/Xbox 1 seems to be all about futuristic bkss. I hope this game don't turn out to be a boost jumping, wall running mess.

I'd like BF1942/Road to Rome redone - weapons that weren't that powerful.

Quite possibly the worst AAA title game launch I've ever seen, why use Twitch, just release the full trailer on YouTube job done.

Not sure. Looks like it might be OK but run out of stuff quickly. Trailer looks nice but so much of what makes BF4 good is the loadout, the personalisation.
Battlefront bombed big style, as did Hardline. 3 in a row? Perhaps. Might have to look at another franchise as its not really ticking any boxes for me. I can just see it, young Tommy digging a trench for 12 hours then it all stops for a game of football.... Only to trip on a can of his own mustard gas and have to start again....
