I'm really enjoying bf1.

However... it crashes... a lot. Which is a complete pain, especially as it has the tendency now to crash towards the end of very fun games. Had a match of essentially duck hunt, as I've got worryingly good with the AA and had shot down something on the order of 20 planes in one match and then..... crash -_-

I've updated everything and can sit in other games for hours with no issue but EA, the benevolent overlords they are still fail to make a game that doesn't randomly crash with no solution.
I've googled the errors I get, in relation to nvidia drivers but all the threads and discussion have no solutions and just blame the frostbite engine frown

Other than that, brill. It's just a big slap in the face of fun when it cuts you off.
That must be quite annoying. I've yet to see any instability though.

I got toasted by a WEX flamethrower on Grappa in one of the bunkers yesterday ... is this a new change ? the elite class pickup has always been a machine gun I thought ?

I got into a Tank/APC last night and the rear most ports on each side were flamethrowers, not seen that before, racked up the kills with that!

I believe there is a flamer kit to pick up at C on Monte Grappa. B flag has the 2 mag mini uzi thing and D has the 200 round spray and pray weapon.biggrin

It's one of the 3 Heavy tank loadouts you can have. Unlocked it myself last night on the Sinai desert map and it looks savage! bobbing back and forth between B and C just rinsing enemieslaugh

This was on Operations, the enemy were in the bunker and trenches and didn't run, so they got burned biggrin

It seems a many haven't realised there are multiple variants of each armoured vehicle - current favourite is the one which has forgoes a big hit on the main gun for effectively a big sniper rifle.

Packs an awesome punch at very, very long distances...

It was on operations... maybe they picked it up at the 1st sector ?!

Another session last night on Xbox One.

Always find my first 2 or 3 games (usually play Operations) i'm rubbish and cant hit the bloke stood in front of me. By game 4, my aim has come in and i've centred myself on the screen. I play on a 48" and sit about 2ft from it. Can see those scouts move at 300m range

Now level 19 after 2 weeks of play.

Ah ok. Pretty sure it's in one of the trenches closer to the attackers on the 1st sector as you said IIRC.nerd

Will join on anyone who is on later if i get the chance to get some game time in!

Yeah it took me a while to work out the loadouts. The tank hunter kit for the landship is a beast, it just wastes other tanks. Took out 3 heavies the other night before succumbing to a mixture of bombers, another tank and assault troops. You do need a decent gunner or two though.

Yeh, some maps it happens on a lot it seems like monte grappa (annoyingly a map I quite enjoy). Reading a bit more into it it seems more common or maybe even isolated to the nvidia GTX770 which seems crap given it's inevitable popularity.

Just like squading up, fully filling a tank with people who communicate make all of them silly effective.

Made a new record and got over 100k score in a single game yesterday! (including bonuses at the end).

Little hint for some people, if the enemy have a blimp, the landship is your friend. Sit well back on an incline (shell hole/hill etc) and use the drivers HMG on it. Many many points, 2-3x more than using anti air on it.

Also if you are not aware, ignore the main mass, you should be following this order:

Aim for front turret (rear half of front pagoda),
then rear turret (front half of rear pagoda),
and then the two engines (Two little propeller pagodas in the middle).

Keep going around in a loop and you can keep them all dead. Means the blimp has no turrets and moves at 10% speed.. Completely nullifies it.

Reached Rank 22 last night.

Highlights

Sniping the gunner from the blimp from directly below on Ballroom Blitz. Was so chuffed with that.
Couple of 3 and 4 man feeds on Monte Grappa

Again took a game or two of Operations to get myself relaxed.

People don't like being shot down in their plane over and over again :] to the point they'll abandon all other activities to attempt to come get you.
However being super lame, sitting on AA as a scout means that anyone dropping out of their planes gets picked off with a combination of either AA fire or sniper rifles so they never get close biggrin

Very lame in the grand scheme of a 'team' game but bloody fun.

I must admit to doing just that on occasion to clear the air of threats and protect the blimp.

Had an epic dual with one chap last week in the obscure village objective in Sinai Peninsula (E?). We were the only two players interested in capturing this point and he sniped me so I vowed to get revenge. We then spent the entire 45 minutes match using tanks, planes and sniper rifles to destroy each other (and absolutely ignoring all other players on the map). Both of us tea bagging after killing the other.

No idea who the guy was, total stranger. Never had anything like it since! Was quite good fun though.
