My main gripe is the issue of squadding up and how hard it is.
.
Though I'm not sure if I like the lack of squads like they had in 4, it does a good job of putting you people in the same party. Not convinced it's the best way, but I'd say it works pretty well..
Also, it's really laggy trying to join a friend that's already playing a game (even when it says there are multiple spaces in the server).
Finally, there should be an easy option to see who is playing the game, what they're playing and be able to join them. It seems like you have to do this through the PS4 "who is playing" option, but this is far from ideal (very laggy).

My gaming mates are all raving about this so am going to pick it up.
Does anyone know of a better price for the PS4 version than £42.29 from amazon?
That seems to be about the best price at the moment but they may all be keeping them high and waiting to amaze us with fantastic "black Friday" deals tomorrow Does anyone know of a better price for the PS4 version than £42.29 from amazon?

.... how to take B bunker checkpoint in 1 easy step...
... pilot the airship over it, make it explode and glitch through the bunker on fire... everyone inside dies...

also, a virtual beer for anyone who can figure out where I was shot from on the second clip... i can't see any bad guy!
Ive played quite a few rounds of HC, I prefer it to the normal game though camping snipers could spend the entire game in one spot if no-one spots them as theyre not highlighted when the bds one-shot you!
Had a few rounds of BF4 Golmud after. To me BF1 looks nice, but doesnt play any better than BF4. BF4 set in WW1 would be good, but instead we got stormtroopers from SW Battlefront in tin hats and too mant 1 shot kills....

I really can't get the hang of it - how do you change game mode for example (e.g. from Operations to Rush) whilst keeping the squad together?

Ah, I'm on xbone which may be different. We just create a party, then one person joins a game, and it invites everyone else in the party. Generally seems to work pretty well, though as I say wouldn't maybe be my first choice of design. You can see who's playing using RT from the menu, again may be different on PS4 I guess. Also, it's really laggy trying to join a friend that's already playing a game (even when it says there are multiple spaces in the server).

James youre right I am st at it, but it doesnt help when stuff like hit register and advantages to overseas players with high ping and slow 'net make a massive difference. One round will be OK, the next nothing registers.
I often hear people moaning about this, but tbh it's very rare that I lose a 1 on 1 and it's not just because I was crap. In all honesty, this talk of advantages to high ping players sounds like "bloke down the pub said" stuff to me. I mean how do people know what someone elses' ping is for starters?CrutyRammers said:

You dont but when you empty 3 rounds of shotgun point blank into someone, you get insta dropped by someone, you get dropped crouched behind a wall etc. then theres something abit iffy. Then theres the ingame chats ive had with 'friends' when weve been against each other, one guy would just wreck everyone/finish near top each time - lives in a village near Durham and im not sure if they even have fibre internet
Another, said he put around 20 rounds into me once but my screen only showed 4 and ive had vice versa on him.
Last night, one dude i could not touch one the forest map despite getting the drop on him with the shotgun (trying to get to level 10 for the heigel gun, ive lvl 10'd support) yet everyone else was getting dropped easily.
From some of the footage i see of these massive games expos where teams compete for money, i do wonder how good they really are or how good i/someone else could be given that the connection speed would be the same.

Unfortunately, this has been happening for a long time with FPS games over the internet, and I can't see it going away. Then theres the ingame chats ive had with 'friends' when weve been against each other, one guy would just wreck everyone/finish near top each time - lives in a village near Durham and im not sure if they even have fibre internet

Some games are worse than others for it, yes. BF1 does seem prone to issues like this for me.
Saying that, I was playing a different FPS last night. Two days ago, I was killing everything in sight, getting headshots etc. Last night, I was doing only a tiny bit of damage to other players, getting whalloped and losing pretty much every one on one. Didn't make sense because I was shooting them before they shot me, but the hit registered on me first. Wasn't like this on Wednesday night. Odd.
I generally find that there is always one person in a match that is almost impossible to kill. It's easy to get frustrated and think they're somehow cheating, then the game ends and you look at their score and often they're mid/bottom with you as most of their kills and their deaths much higher. It's something I found with BF4 also.
Still really enjoying it though and had the best BF game I've ever had the other night on Operations. Joined the losing team at the last defence site (desert fortress) with the enemy having all 3 waves left. The game lasted over an hour and we somehow managed to win, plus I managed to finish top at 95K/28D as assault with most of those kills being down to dynamite or trench knife.

Hit my new record of 101 kills in a match yesterday during an operation on ballroom blitz.
Defending and managed to take all three attackers lives down before the final point. Got my second service star on the SMG Sentry kit too
If you stop focusing on your KD ratios, and play the (f) objective, you'll be surprised how you generally end up with a positive ratio, and easily top couple.
All the points/experience is objectives rather than kills. (Unless you are playing TDM).
82k Exp after getting 2.5k multiplier. (A 2000/27 defense score... Anyone know wtf is up with these flag numbers, they seem so broken)
