i've not tried it but a mate did last night. you can check the connection of the game you are playing through settings or something

I had 2 great games, working as a team. lost the first but aced the second and came top of the board.

3rd game made me want to fking rage. LAG was horrid, before I would see someone i'm dead from 1 shot of a handgun. A few on the other side lagged so bad and ping was through the roof. it was so one sided and we ended up something like 400-1000 and lost our airship within 1 min.

You get fun games but games like this just annoyed the fk out of me

I'm pretty sure that my bad games are largely down to a lack of skill, lack of awareness, lack of good positioning and a bad aim.

Other than that, I'm actually pretty good

Connection does have a large part to play in the BF games, but you don't really notice it on the large scale maps so much.

Where you really notice it is the close quarters type games - in the old Gunmaster game type in BF3/4 I could go from top of the leaderboard to near the bottom within the space of a few games and you could tell that you had a half second advantage/disadvantage on certain players.

BF1 has been playing great for me lately, little to no noticeable lag, East Coast US or Euro server. Ive got some nice plane footage but dont think itll look that good as you cant see the bombs dropping etc.

I dunno if this is a reflection on the player base but so far I'm getting very good scores in conquest and operations (+10,000 quite often) but getting killed quite a bit. As in regularly getting 26+ kills and deaths. Maybe people aren't playing the objective?

There seems to be less people playing now.

Played rush last night and maybe it was the map (Monte Grappa) or that mist descended when we had to defend but did not enjoy it one bit

You may be right. I had to wait for the lobby to fill this morning, twice in a row. Operations on Monte Grappe although, had a couple of really good games so was worth the wait.

I'm supposed to be doing a medal for rifle grenades but, I really don't think I can be bothered to sacrifice either medpacks or revives for the sake of a few thousand XP.

I still haven't tried the scout class yet, it just doesn't appeal for some reason.

It's great fun. I played a shotgun only team death match the other day and it was hilarious.

Oh it is great fun and is my go-to gun if I'm trying to do a medal and getting my arse handed to me and want to feel better about myself.

Though my other favourite at the moment is the 1 shot with the martini henry that does 90 damage followed up by a few shots of the Kalibri. I can just envisage the shame of the person that I've killed using that gun

I try to play the Autimatico, it really is very good. But if we're losing I just end up switching to the A-10 Hunter and going balls deep.

I'm trying to focus on Medic for the next few days though, then I'll work on Support.

I've also managed how not to divebomb into every hill while flying - use the DPI switch on my mouse to ramp the sensitivity up. I play very low sensitivity so previous banking attempts saw me swiping furiously across my desk only to explode in a ball of flames and get told "noob pilot" in chat

Have a wired XBox controller on the way from Amazon though for better results.

No idea. But I've had a few "you just died b**h" moments. One I was literally just standing outside the castle as well, must have been a heart attack...

Me n my mate just had a super easy round of Rush. Defending on Amiens. Never got passed the first two telegraph poles. As a squad we were 28 kills for 3 deaths.

Balancing error. There's a couple of gifs on Reddit of people getting TK's because the balancing system has swapped someone over at just the right moment.

Don't think you're getting TK'd in that video though? Looks like your incendiary set something off and blew someone (now on your team) up?
