I make it my mission even if im not in a tank now to lay mines and hide in a bush with my at rocket to finnish the job

Ranking up on Medic and Scout comfortably now but I must confess I am finding BF1 a real drag when playing either as a single or with one mate...

When you play 64 player operations and over 20 people on your team are sat defending a mile back with snipers it is not fun, not fun at all, why can't people play the objective- if you just want to camp and shoot people surely team death match is the game mode... Or why if you are in a tank our only tank against the enemy do you hide away and do nothing....

I long for some competitive play- if anyone fancied some kind of 8v8 or 10v10 type team deathmatch thing I would be well up for that.
I am on xbox one.

Agreed, it is also really annoying when someone gets the artillery truck and sits so far back in their own spawn that you can't reach them but they can reach half the map.

If you want competitive play, play the War Pigeons came mode - no vehicles and a lot of close to medium quarters fighting over a constantly moving objective.

Re the out of bounds artillery truck - that's what the bombers are for.

One of the chaps i play with is about rank 50 ish but mentioned he had never played operations mode. I said i would refuse to play with him unless we had a squad of 4+ who i know personally as it can be a right mess with a crap team and no fun at all!

Yeah, although it's range is more limited in AA mode. It does mean you don't get any CAS though, and opens the skies up for the enemy so you're always getting spotted/bombed.

It can but it seems to be a bit random, you can literally fire right at them and nothing happens and then be miles off and they die.

If you want someone to play operations with, add away. GT same as forum name. Mainly played operations and currently level 91. Service starred most of the weapons, so just playing for fun atm. Generally don't lose, prefer defending and I normally go in on my own (if no ones online) so be great to have someone to talk to.

I've been that person, sometimes the best approach is to deny the enemy team access to an area, such as the bunker and surround areas (B, B, A, A and B) on the operation version of Ballroom Blitz. The AT with its scoped cannon is great at clearing bunkers and taking out enemy armour. However its also made out of cardboard and can be insta killed by a single assault player, so I think its well balanced.

Bombers arent much use against it, as it can easily 1 shot them out the sky, as well as other aircraft if you're any good at judging the range/drop. Best counter is assault troops with the rocket launcher and k bullets. (Or another truck).

If you can get area denial right, and the attackers can't/won't counter it, ballroom is relatively straightforward to defend on in my experience.

Hence I haven't bought Deluxe or Premium, but am about to!

I don't mind the truck itself, I love the vehicle side of the play but when you sit behind a sand dune in an area which is out of bounds to the opposition so they cannot possibly hit you then it is out of order and needs to be changed IMO.

I would expect these kind of offers later on in the game's life cycle, but not before the first DLC is even launched. In this situation, day 1 deluxed and premium players have had absolutely no benefit from signing up early.

Shortsighted moves like this will come back to bite DICE and EA - who will bother signing up for early Premium on the next game? I won't be, that's for sure!
