Feel I made a mistake with getting BF1 for Xbox as just shelled out £700 on a gaming PC.

It's the full pass so you will get all 4 expansions when they release. The Deluxe edition is a sweetener thrown in so people buy it before the 14th.

£39.99 seems to be the only price banded about for it currently.

When the DLC arrives next week will those that have paid for the DLC be able to use the new guns in the standard game? Or is it going to be split into standard game and DLC content game?

From memory in BF4, those with DLC could use the new weapons in the standard game. Beware, you will become a target for those standard players as you'll have a nice new gun to take!

uness they gang up on you the DLC players with new guns may get a nice new top kill ratio

I'm just working my way through the elite codexes before the DLC hits (as it give me something to do), Managed fine with all the classes apart from Assault.

How does anyone use the Automatico?! Its effective range is so short you are generally more deadly with a shotgun, and the clip has enough to kill 2 players before a long reload time.

Out of the 3 variants, I prefer the Storm, but on anything other than point blank range it's always outgunned. Started doing what I despise other people doing, which is if I need to engage at medium range, go prone and use the rocket gun...

It's only good up close as you say but I'm loving it at the moment using the trench. Just hip fire and strafe and you are winning 1 on 1 sometimes even against shot guns.

ADS at anything more than 30m and you are struggling. If they are stupid you can burst fire and get them but takes a lot of rounds.

Reload isn't a big problem if you pick your engagements to only be 1 or 2 people.

True enough and in those situations you just spray and pray! Still by flanking and picking out individual enemies unaware you can do pretty well!

Haven't played this game for a long time now. Got bored of it quite quickly, so gave up.

I'm in the process of reformatting my PC and was wondering if anything has changed with the game. I think I last played it way before Christmas and I don't have any map packs.

Has it changed much since then? If it has, I may install it again.

No major changes / updates as yet, just some minor patching here and there to balance weapons and nerf the menu system a bit (on PS4 at least) - we're on the verge of the first big update though so it might be worth giving it another whirl in a week or so.

I'm bored by the gameplay but kept active by chasing medals for now.

I honestly haven't played this in three months. It doesn't seem like I've missed much. Its a cracking game but I just had other things pique my interest lately.
