On your team play point, it does happen - but because of the change in voice chat from ps3 to ps4 only with mates.

When chat was handled in game, you could chat to squad or team (which could often mean some hilarious tantrums or overloud unintelligible dutch/german/etc.) and even if not with mates I'd often be able to do some co-ordination in game.

It almost impossible to play as a unified squad without talking to each other.

teamwork does happen but it's fleeting. The round i posted my pic of i had a full tank for the whole round and we just moved around capture points they jumped out and i provided fire support, they jumped back in and off we go.

Downloaded the Beta on XBOX 1 and as my first BF game really really enjoyed it. Always been a cod fan till the stupid jumping crap started.

Spent about 5 hours on the game today I have got addicted to sniping sadly and love how builds just blow up with grenades etc. I have pre ordered the game as I want more than the 1 level we have now

Ok no more about balance as we clearly don't agree.

I did have an interesting glitch today. Halfway through a round of rush my team started spawning with no guns and no ability to melee. You could interact with things - get in a tank (which was fine), set the bomb at an objective you just couldn't fight.

Bloody odd

I've left the PS4 on with the game loaded most of the afternoon and evening, just turned it off this minute. I just pop in and out and have the odd game and amazingly it's always connected. Only once did it ask me to re-connect which it did quickly.

No problems on my PS4.

The teamwork element to this game annoys me. I'm lying in the floor waiting to be revived by my teammate who is 3m away from me and do they revive me? No. This happens time and time again. If I see someone, I'll revive them. I throw health packs to people.

Otherwise I'm really enjoying it. I much prefer the large map/vehicles/slower gameplay of BF to the frantic, sprint/knife combo/small map gameplay of CoD (granted I haven't played online since MW2...).

Just managed to get online for half an hour earlier. No idea WTF it is doing..

But my KDR rocketed up tonight, 13/2 in one round... And now I am pleased that my "upgrade" guns actually fire too, got the flamethrower as well, that was fun..

I also noticed you will be able to customise weapons in the full game.

On the desert map, there is a hill top between objectives F and G that some people manage to get really high up on, really pisses me off as their's snipers on their that manage to snipe you from half way across the map on it.

The artillery truck is by far one of the best vehicles in the game, it's massively armoured (takes many hits from a tank or a concerted effort between a tank, snipers with K bullets and an assault with anti tank grenades to blow up), has a machine gun controlled by the drivers seat, and has an artillery gun mounted on the back. Plus it's one person only, so you can roll up, take names, level a point, then on to the next one.

I've had some huge kill sprees with this, it's so much fun! Of course, when you do meet a team who know how to take it down, then you're pretty much SOL but not many people know how to take it down!

Taking out a behemoth is a quick(ish) way to big points as well, I got about 1500 points plus a 1000 point bonus when I managed to destroy the train. You'll get a kill for everyone on it, plus multi kill bonuses, plus behemoth bonuses etc. Luck of the draw if you're the one to shoot the round that delivers the coup de grace though.

Agreed though that there are too many snipers in the game, but unfortunately that's just battlefield through and through now, at least there are weapons class modifiers in the multiplayer server search menu, so you might be able to select servers that don't allow the recon class in the final game, fingers crossed.

So guys is it worth it or is it full of bugs n crap like BF4 ?
I see origin trying to say its worth £105 for Ultimate Edition lol
New pc is built and its ready for anything apart from mine sweeper

So sad to see it was BF1 they put forward instead of 2143 (still thinks 2142 was by far one of the better versions)

Im not playing the beta version because I need to change all my key bindings as I don't use keyboard lol

1 map, 2 games - sure its a beta, but my phone is running one - has been for the last 3 months - yet that is a fairly good if occasionally slightly unstable version of the finished item.
Some have said this is an older beta that has been released.

Its not going to win those that were unsure and wanted a taster of the game.

I keep having the same old things happen, 900 round automatic vs single load rifle. Im shooting the st out of someone in front of me yet they are able to shoot me twice - shoot reload and shoot again faster than the 900 rpm can.

Went back to BF4 last night, suddenly the carbines seem powerful...

However, team play - go on rush. Had some great games on there when its not just campers with rifles picking you off as you place the bomb. 5 or 6 of us were working together and although the attackers got 9 bases the final one was held for 8 minutes, purely between reviving and helping each other. Saying that more often than not it is indeed a "look at me, 56 for 0"....

I'm new to Battlefield (although I do have Star Wars Battlefront), I've only ever played COD MW and BLOPS. I love it.

Last night I got top of the leader board on the Capture Flags game with probably the lowest KD ratio of the round. I did this because i used a couple of tanks as the driver to progressively get round the map with a crew on board clearing the flag sites and capturing them.

At one point I had a the big tank with a full crew trundling along with 4 or five infantry troops behind me using it as cover as we advanced on a heavily guarded flag. We went in big guns clearing a smaller tank and laying down suppressive fire and the ground troops picked off people as they scattered from the site. It was flipping brilliant! The other things is, none of these were friends and there was no headset chatter, just people figuring out that someone had a plan and tagging along.

This is probably common knowledge to you BF veterans but i've found a good tank driver is key to making the tanks really work. You get in one and the driver just hammers around looking for people to kill and it's hard to either get many kills or get any objectives. The tanks is constantly bouncing around and it's hard to keep anything in your sights. You see people get in, stay for a couple of minutes and then get out again. However get someone who drives it slowly, stops when there's dense groups of enemy troops, keeps to the even ground more and proactively picks objectives and you end up with a crew who can make a difference to the game, therefore they'll stay on board for ages. I also stop occasionally and fix the tank damage to keep going.

Anyway, much wittering from me but I'm hugely impressed. I wish SWBF had this level of team work but I still love that game, because StarWars.

I had fun last night bayonetting a squad of snipers who'd set up there smile

If you're in a party, one joins a game, the others get a notification to join the same game. Hopefully there's a better way in the final game, but it does seem to keep you all together across games once you're in

I'm enjoying this beta. Sniping is fun and the weapons seem nice and punchy.
