On the desert map, there is a hill top between objectives F and G that some people manage to get really high up on, really pisses me off as their's snipers on their that manage to snipe you from half way across the map on it.
I had fun last night bayonetting a squad of snipers who'd set up there CrutyRammers said:
If you're in a party, one joins a game, the others get a notification to join the same game. Hopefully there's a better way in the final game, but it does seem to keep you all together across games once you're in
It was not doing that. Oddly I joined a Rush game, my mate then joined and ended up in Conquest! Ok, maybe it will work if we try again, though saying that I can no longer fire any gun that isn't the "starting" one again, or even my sniper rifle!! Ah well...
Add the failure to show the round results, instead showing the map as if its the start of the game (counting down) but no buttons work and starting rounds at different times with the same players..its fine otherwise...
I saw a rock with a horses tail a few nights ago, Havoc claimed he was trapped under the map when I saw his legs were stuck under a fence and floating in mid air dead bodies!
Also why do the bodies resemble a marionette when killed, then have some sort of spasm a few seconds later?

I'm new to Battlefield (although I do have Star Wars Battlefront), I've only ever played COD MW and BLOPS. I love it.
Last night I got top of the leader board on the Capture Flags game with probably the lowest KD ratio of the round. I did this because i used a couple of tanks as the driver to progressively get round the map with a crew on board clearing the flag sites and capturing them.
At one point I had a the big tank with a full crew trundling along with 4 or five infantry troops behind me using it as cover as we advanced on a heavily guarded flag. We went in big guns clearing a smaller tank and laying down suppressive fire and the ground troops picked off people as they scattered from the site. It was flipping brilliant! The other things is, none of these were friends and there was no headset chatter, just people figuring out that someone had a plan and tagging along.
This is probably common knowledge to you BF veterans but i've found a good tank driver is key to making the tanks really work. You get in one and the driver just hammers around looking for people to kill and it's hard to either get many kills or get any objectives. The tanks is constantly bouncing around and it's hard to keep anything in your sights. You see people get in, stay for a couple of minutes and then get out again. However get someone who drives it slowly, stops when there's dense groups of enemy troops, keeps to the even ground more and proactively picks objectives and you end up with a crew who can make a difference to the game, therefore they'll stay on board for ages. I also stop occasionally and fix the tank damage to keep going.
Anyway, much wittering from me but I'm hugely impressed. I wish SWBF had this level of team work but I still love that game, because StarWars.
On BF3 on the PS3 we often had a max team (12) of PHers on one side and several PHers on the other side, made for some very fun games when you're not only working woth teammates but working against people you know!Last night I got top of the leader board on the Capture Flags game with probably the lowest KD ratio of the round. Last time I seriously played this kind of game was back on BF2 so have been out of the FPS loop for a while now.
Enjoy playing sniper quite a bit.
But... why does it always feel like people take a clip of ammo to kill and you die after a couple shots? The assault class main weapons feel like toy guns.

Normally, unpalatable though it is, it's because they are better shots.;) not that I'm averse to the odd shouted "wtf!!!??!" when it happens...Enjoy playing sniper quite a bit.

Last fps I played was Doom which is totally different before that battlefront beta ( which I played 3rd person). Before that BF4 one game. Before that Ghosts for a week...
So I'm out of practice. Got this nice shot though... eventually!

I've played the last few battlefields and BF1 feels a lot more like a reskinned battlefront or hardline.
Generally it doesn't feel as tight or precise as BF4. As others have said the assault class is awful, the weapons don't seem to injure people unless you have put two full magazines in to them. The weapons also seem greatly inaccurate, I know it's WW1 and the weapons wouldn't have been pin point accurate but the auto weapons seem to recoil like something else.
I'll no doubt buy it but it's not BF4 good.

Are you sure you haven't just got a bit of a crap connection? I have not experienced any problems with the weapons being ineffective, I actually posted yesterday saying that the weapons feel particularly punchy.Generally it doesn't feel as tight or precise as BF4. What system are you playing on?

Could be the connection, however it only seems to be the assault and support class that suffers and reading others posts I'm not alone. What system are you playing on?
Xbox One.
The accuracy of the snipers is a bit questionable. While counter sniping, I've roughly aimed at the lighthouse beacon that is the scope glare of a hiding sniper and got a perfect headshot from 300m while at other times I've had the cross-hairs right over someones head from 75m and missed despite my bullet flying right at the player. Still quite a bit of work to do for DICE if they want to get the game up to scratch in time for it's release date. I'm just hoping it's not too broken in it's released state.
It was a lot better tonight when I turned the motion blur and depth of field effects off. I don't know why games do this. My own eyes are perfectly adept at blurring my vision outside of where I'm focusing, if I choose to look elsewhere it should be clear. Finally I could see people and target them properly.
