Gutted, was expecting it to finish at the end of the day not at 9am!

Massively enjoyed my time on it so will definitely be purchasing. Spent the last few days as assault obliterating everyone in my path with the shotgun. Great fun!
Most of their things are done on US time zones.

Had played BF4 for a couple of years but found BF1 quite amusing. However, it just appears to be a re-skinned BF4. I couldn't ascertain any major gameplay improvements in the Beta. Still not as good as BF2 of BFBC2 IMHO.

I did notice that when I had downloaded the BF1 Beta via Origin (PC), there was a link to download the BF2 series for free. Are there actually any servers still running? I'd heard they were shut down a few years ago.

killed and teabagged someone last night whilst playing. after the match they messaged me 'fk of to cod you teabagger' biggrin
Haha. I love a good teabag war, but few people seem to indulge these days. Some of the funniest games I've had are when you end up in a teabag off with someone on the other team.
What actually annoys me is when someone kills you from miles away and then does the motion...that's not it, idiot, you have to actually be over the body.

Well 50% of players never get near the enemy, they are sniping the entire game...

So there is somewhere to leave beta feedback, bit late now perhaps?

Bit disappointed it's over as I had to start late. Never played as support and only tried Medic for an hour or so... was really enjoying the Mondragon.

Kind of miss the repetitive attrition offered by BF1 now the open beta is over, I'd just started to get back into the team FPS genre a bit. Might make the purchase when the time comes though, bit of a break from racing sims smile

Played as medic as through previous battlefields and a lot on 4 i was always between medic and support ( purely just for a big fking machine gun to lay down some heavy fire in little areas on operation metro ) And really enjoyed t as a medic on here. Only upgraded one rifle as was just getting used to the game.

Appreciate the effectiveness of the horseback ridding with the swords as it can do people right over. Going to be a decent one and can't wait for it to come out.

Annoyed at my final game before the midnight as it was at a loss of 300-297

Single player trailer released yesterday. Not fussed about the SP aspect but looks good nonetheless.

You could be disappointed... I have pre ordered a couple of times and been let down- I now pretty much always order my stuff off Shopto and it has always arrived either on release day if not a day or two before.

Amazon have taken measures to ensure that they deliver on release day recently after they had so many complaints. Still dont trust them though, that and the first day server problems that are ubiquitous with this sort of release these days mean that I generally take the day after release off wink

I wouldn't say I'm excited as such, just looking forward to a new challenge after pretty much only playing BF4 since it was released (I bought Project Cars and GTA but they didn't really hook me).

The Battlefield series has always been a little bit different to the other similar games in that you can really carve a niche in a particular class or with a certain vehicle etc but then completely change the game experience by switching when needed. I also enjoy collecting trinkets and unlocking things and BF1 should hopefully bring lots of new ones.

Having said this I still don't feel like I've "finished" BF4 and hope some people stick around to carry on playing as I have lots more I want to achieve on there (I got "Perfect Landing" yesterday after a long time trying, still others I want too).

I'm was worried that the slower pace and more agricultural weapons of BF1 wouldn't hold my attention but I really liked the beta so I have high hopes it'll hook me.

I still like BF2 on PC the best of all though.

I'm disappointed there will be no commander mode in BF1 as I enjoy that role now and again, I realise the technology of later game wouldn't be available so it would be limited but some way of coordinating things as a whole would be useful. Not that anyone listens despite the benefits it can bring smile

So I've gone off on a tangent there, what I would suggest is to pick up a cheap copy of BF4, grab all the free add-ons while the offer is on (if it still is) and have that a backup.

I always rather liked it when there's a good commader on, giving out objectives, evac orders and all that. Especially when you're with a good squad and you can pass the orders on as squad leader. A very rare experience though.

It's incredibly refreshing when you get a responsive squad and see the tables turn. I don't think people realise that simply accepting orders (and then ignoring them if they like) is a benefit because it means the commander can promote more, drop supplies etc more frequently. I liked it in the older games though when the commander was on the battlefield and you could command and fight, it was also fun hiding from people coming to the base to look for you smile
