For those who have not got it yet. What is this new mode?
It's a mix of rush and conquest. One team pushes forwards and the other defends but you need to hold all bases at once to push forward unlike rush where you need to bomb something. It's much harder. I've had a near 2 hour game though so it's long but varied. It's brilliant.
My whole squad was snipers earlier so I couldn't spawn anywhere but miles back. Very frustrating.
And one thing they need to change straight away is locked squads. I understand people want to play with their mates but it's stupid. You end up with 5 teams of 2 which is fking pointless.

I've only been on the defending team and it is frustrating! The daft thing is the attackers get like 7 tanks and the defenders get jack so how are you meant to defend against that. They also get those heavy duty trains/blimp/boats which makes it even worse! The funniest thing is when it says you've won when you actually lose miserably but it says you've won.
Assault infantry have AT grenades. Two of those guys and a support to resupply them and tanks are no longer that useful. The blimps are fkers though. Found it's better to take out the gondolas first. The italy map has some socking great fixed guns which rip it to pieces.Tonsko said:

Also the AT Rifle Gun thing - which I just bought this morning and it is quite handy indeed it seems...... And damn fine fun for shooting infantry as well, that chap with the heavy armour went flying when I hit him with it!Jasandjules said:

Just realised that you can customise the loadout too, include AT mines as well.Sway said:
Four 'stories' in a rush format.
Each story is a campaign/invasion over 3-4 maps. Attackers get three goes to win (never seen them manage it!), they keep their progress each time so gradually crawl forward.
They've put a nice amount of storytelling and historical perspective into it, and it's a great way to pass an hour on the game.
Still not seen an attacking win, but was on the defending side over the weekend and they absolutely swarmed us, hammered us all the way to the last sector of the 3rd map with seeming ease, where we finally managed to hold them and win. Generally preferring the medic kit at the mo, though I've had some fun with the support/lewis gun combo on the tighter maps.

THREE loadouts... Per class.. And name them too (at least on the PS4)....
3 is it? Not explored the limits yet. This leads to this kind of error: a squad mate was asking for ammo, I'd just died, but had already chosen to spawn as assualt but quickly selected support, ran over to him aaaaaannnnd.... dropped a mortar on his toe.housen said:

Before you deploy (on the PS4 at least) press Triangle to adjust your load out - then push up to "class 1" or whatever it says and push the right arrow and you will get hte 2nd and third loadout. You can then hit X to name them as well i.e. anti vehicle........ I can only adjust my load outs in battle ???

I find rather too often I press "right" as a medic to revive someone but my fella is thinking mainly of himself so he sticks a gas mask on instead........Speaking of charging, I've been having some trouble with bayonet charges. Twice last night I charged someone in a room, only to miss and stab the wall next to them. Cue flailing around by both of us in a festival of incompetance, in at least one case resulting in me setting fire to myself with an incendiary.

Sounds like perfectly normal Battlefield chaos tbh! Edited by Tonsko on Monday 24th October 13:21

Has anyone figured how you move up the medic ranks? Is it literally just from playing loads and building points or is it specific medical things such as reviving people, etc?
Dunno - I guess it's just points earned as medic. I got rank 2 last night which has unlocked all of the guns (still have to buy them mind). So I'm not sure what later ranks will give you?Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
