This looks bloody brilliant. Gutted I'm a PS4 man tbh.
Can you not do what I'm doing and get it on PC? I'm also going to use my PS4 controller with my PC to play it paperbag
I don't have a PC, if I hadn't just bought a house I would be tempted to move to the dark side for this.

Can I only get the PC version through the MS store? £50 seems expensive!

Also you can't use your PS4 controllers at the moment, guess DS4 need to upgrade their drivers frown Xbox controllers are so uncomfortable to me.

Does anyone know when the garage opens up to buy all the cars? I've just upgraded my first festival to lv.2 at the moment

The downloading was frustrating. Even after I started playing with it installing in the background, I got to picking my next car and I couldn't choose one as they hadn't downloaded? I then couldn't go back and cruise around, couldn't go forward, I was just stuck banghead

The start was a little bit too much for me, I would have preferred a slightly slower start to things. It also feels very forced and very annoying early on but it is starting to settle down now that I am a few races in. Another problem I find is that car's come too easy as usual, I have done around 8 races and already have:-
  • BMW M4 with widebody
  • Ferrari 458 Widebody
  • 2016 Audi R8 V10
  • Lamborghini Urus
  • BMW M5
  • Honda NSX-R
  • Rally Fighter
  • F150 Raptor
  • Nissan 350z
  • Holden Torana
Plus I have managed to blow probably 150k modifying cars. Granted these are rewarding loyalty but I just feel like I'm missing out on certain cars because they are so easily attainable. On the other hand then, there are cars costing millions that I never see the point of saving for. Maybe it's just me frown

This is a particularly poor pic, however, I love my Grigio Alloy wide bodied 458:-

I'm only my second festival and have around 10 cars but I do worry the amount of money washing around. I could easily afford one of the fastest cars in the game and I feel I'm missing out on cars because I'm not staying anywhere long enough! frown

I hope there is going to be enough around to keep me playing to amass a huge amount of cars, FH2 you could because of the grind with event mastering but that's not here on this one.

I guess all of the above is abit pointless rambling, my only real issue with the game is how unstable it is on PC, I frequently get stuck in loading screens (about 5 times yesterday), one was when I got my NSX which was annoying.

If you can find cut price Xbox Live gift cards online you can use those to buy stuff from the MS store. I bought the game that way and it was £38 rather than £50.

I'm a bit pissed off with Amazon over this. The game was supposed to be delivered today. I got an email at 0200 hrs saying that the order was delayed. Then another at 0930 saying that they had received an unexpected number of preorders and that they were trying to source more stock. Finally, another email at 1000 hrs saying that they had dispatched a copy.

Well, they expect to deliver it on Friday but it'll probably be here tomorrow. Still, way later than I had expected and since they've dispatched a copy I might as well not bother going to the game shop since I'd have to go to the trouble of returning the Amazon copy.

Luckily, I haven't finished Deus Ex yet.

I have a hilarious defender 90 at A800 with a supercharged V8 and lots of suspension travel.

Tune shared if anyone wants to try it.

So bought it last night, only to find I need the anniversary update for Windows 10. Guess what? My PC fails to update for an error which means nothing and there appears to be no resolution. So I'm going to stand on one leg, touch my nose and recite the alphabet backwards and hope the 20th update I've tried today applies...

Played quite abit tonight, got a few barn finds and discovered some new places. Turned computer off watched some TV, came back and it won't start after the playground games bit of the start up procedure frown

Seems I'm not the only one though - http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/turn10_postst703... apparently it's "caused by some antivirus software"...

ETA: if you have avast it's likely to cause this to crash, the only way around it is to uninstall avast completely and use windows firewall & defender. Also disabling your mic also helps. Unfortunately I cannot trust the wet paper bag that is windows firewall so looks like I won't be able to play this anymore frown

Pictures look stunning btw smile

Seem to be bouncing about all over the map at the moment. Got the Outback hub up to Lvl3 and a couple of nice cars (the Warthog is surprisingly fun smile ) . Amuses me that all the DLC cars from FM6 seem to be standard in FH3.

Got myself an Amazon to match the one I sold in real life biggrin

Potentially silly question here sorry guys. I'm getting rid of my PS4 to get and Xbox one S purely after watching some FM6 vids on YouTube.
So why is the latest version called Horizon 3? Shouldn't it be FM7? Or are the horizon versions a different game altogether?

Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport are two different series of games. Horizon is, as I'm sure you've seen in the YT videos you've watched, racing in an open world environment, whereas Motorsport is racing around proper tracks (Silverstone, Brands Hatch etc).

The Forza Motorsport games are more sim-like, whereas the Forza Horizon games are definitely more arcade-like.

yes

FH3 hasn't blown me away to be honest, I think as a newcomer to the Forza franchise, I think Forza Horizon 2 with all the DLC (including Porsche) may be the better game at the moment boxedin

Surely this is the only paint job you can have on this?:-

Also, anyone else notice that there's no Volkswagen? I rather fancied making a Rally Rep Golf R frown

Update to my PC fun, it's working again! Seems that avast just makes it temperamental, great!

For those on PC, please can you tell me how to get your photo's out so I can share them? smile

If its the same as the console, which I suspect it is, you go to http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/?lc=2057 and login, photos that have been "shared" will be in your gallery.

Note: You have to "share" the photo after saving for it to appear in your gallery.

As a Forza veteran, I much prefer the environment of FH2. FH3 is pretty similar in terms of gameplay, but the rolling hills of Southern France and Northern Italy, as well as Nice, just felt spot on. It reminded me of my road trips to these places ... I feel a bit disconnected with Australia. However FH3 is a very good game and I'm loving the grind to increase skills/perks. Also, the upgrade mechanics are so much better - You can buy parts quickly and pay at the end, rather than continually purchase each part separately, which was a drawn out process when creating a proper fast car!
