I think Play Anywhere is out today( so that's yet ANOTHER bloody console updatesmile) Not sure if ALL versions of FH3 can be played on PC, but the ultimate version is probably worth it anyway.
Agree with others that Forza as a series(Motorsport for racing,Horizon for open world) is the best at the moment. And the new GT isn't even out till next year, and I think it's a cut down prologue anyway

The Forza series' (Motorsport and Horizon) are the only thing I really miss about having a PS4. I just miss making stupidly powerful cars and doing speed runs/high speed crashing using the Le Mans original track (less chicanes)

First impressions aren't good.

Really weak force feedback gives me hardly any steering feel to I keep over correcting and falling off track. Steering centering is weak too.

No option for manual/paddle gear change so you're forced to press the brake pedal to reverse, which I had no idea about and took me ages to work out.

Its just no fun to drive, surely that's the whole point of a demo?

You might be looking for the wrong game I'm afraid. It's not a sim or even trying to be, it's a need for speed style free roam game with races. It's the kind of game where you can get into a 100mph power slide on a narrow bend and come out the other side ok.

You can change to manual in the options, also changing the steering to simulation may help with that

I've had all the FM and FH titles, FH2 is much closer to FM style of driving than FH3.

I couldn't find either options for that in the Controls menu?

To change to Manual shift go to setting then " difficulty" you can then choose manual or manual with clutch " there's also options to turn traction Control off etc.

As for the force feedback go to settings then "controls" then hit the "X" button for advanced settings you can then turn the force feedback up as well as wheel rotation.

I found the force feedback even after changing the settings poor for the lambo but good for then 800hp truck.

I was hoping this was less simulation. Sim doesn't work on a game like this.

I had my first go on this last night, and I have to say. I thought it was pretty good.

Initially, I felt it was a bit numb.

However, I played Forza Horizon 2 solidly, and loved it to bits.
Then I played Forza Motorsport 6 and whilst it was very different, I got to the point where I really enjoyed it.
So I think going back to the less-serious FH3, is why it felt different.

Graphics are stunning, and some of the cars looked/sounded great.

I'll definitely be buying it, I just hope I get as much enjoyment from it, as I did from FH2.

It seems that buying it for PC just requires and xbox live account and then you buy the xbox version with play anywhere you can put it onto your PC. Have taken a punt pre-ordering it from the windows store and will let you know if I can't download it! tongue out

Looking forward to this as I played alot of FH2 and really enjoyed myself, almost all the things that TDU2 wasn't!

Yeah it's about driving through a jungle in a Ferrari and doing jumps. Not realistic driving physics. hehe

Precisely! I don't think games like this need much element of realism.

Have pre-ordered this but not the ultimate edition (so won't be able to play on the 23rd), it's appeared in my windows store downloads section presumably to download on the 27th smile

Have MS every tried to justify why it's cheaper to buy a physical copy form a store than it is to download directly from them?

Won't it be the same reason as the PS store being more expensive than stores? Rather helpfully I cannot remember what that is now, sorry! frown

For those who have got it please pass on feedback, I am mega excited for this as it's one of only 3 games I've been looking forwards to this year!
