Left it downloading while I'm at work. More annoyingly I'm out for a meal tonight so its get home, walk dog head out. I will have a quick go before bed. This is likely to turn into a 6 hour session where I drop dead at 5 AM hehe

Been hearing many great things about this game. Trusted Reviews gave it a 10/10

I had a go with the demo, and on that basis I think it's the best FH yet. plenty of options to go ridiculously off-road in inappropriate vehicles. The physics of driving through water feel good, and there are lots of big jumps.

Anybody put it on PC? Yesterday didn't go well for me hehe . Redeemed the code before work, turned on Xbox before I left so it would pick up the download, got home yesterday afternoon and it didn't. Tried it manually and after a few 'can't update, try again later' messages in the Games & Apps on Xbox, it started downloading, slowly.

So then i turned on the PC to see if it came up on Windows store like it's supposed to. Nope, I didn't have the Windows 10 anniversary update, and it needs that first, so off to the world of progress percentages and restarts i went to get that updated, and then it came up in Windows store as a download. PC download was a lot quicker than Xbox.

Some time later, they were ready to start, PC wanted a newer driver than the latest number for my Nvidia GTX 960, pressed ignore, ran it anyway, it signed into Xbox half way through the intro, optimised for my PC spec (6 core i7, 16GB RAM, 2x2GB GTX 960 SLI) and put me on medium settings, then froze on the picture of the controller button layout. Turned it off, I want to play the game, back to Xbox which was ready to start now. Got about as far into it as the demo goes, got some achievements and got money on a few level up spins. Then got to where it was still installing before I could go further. All good on Xbox, oh it's 1am, went to bed.

I'm out today, but tomorrow I'll get back to the PC to see what's going on there, and on both I'll get the ultimate edition stuff and Halo Warthog installed (you'll have a freebie code if you've played Halo master collection or Halo 5)

Reading some reddit stuff, I'm not sure whether FH3 PC supports SLI, so it might be seeing my setup with 960 SLI as 2GB not 4GB.

Lots of issues with the PC Version!

I got the ultimate version as I've been a fan of the Forza series since the first one. However I never upgraded to an Xbox One so have missed out on the latest releases. I was really looking forward to this and wanted the early release and all the benefits of the DLC.

I seem to be one of the lucky ones on the PC as at least i have been able to boot the game and play for around 15hrs now, overall I'm enjoying it but there are huge issues;

None of the VIP perks or car packs are working for anybody on pc at the moment. As I have reached level 25 i have missed out on a free spin for each of these so lost millions in credits and cars.

The menu system is really buggy, takes ages to try to upgrade cars and change paints. scrolling through things its really laggy.

Despite having an i7-4790k @ 4.4GHz, 32Gb ram and an overclocked 970 gtx the gameplay stutters and tears all over the place. I'm generally getting 60fps but this can drop to 30 at really random moments.

I also don't think the graphics are particularity great, The cars themselves are well detailed and some parts of the world look good but other look awful. In particular there is a building site area which has just random tools dropped in various places and is very featureless. I've seen better years ago on the 360.

Online isn't working. The one server I managed to join for about two minuets had 6 people on scattered all over the map and i couldn;t figure out how to join or create a race.

Fingers crossed most of the above will be sorted for the full launch on Tuesday but at the moment I'm feeling rather annoyed at having dropped £80 on something that feels very unfinished frown

I hope they are sorted for PC too as I'm not getting an xbone redface I don't use my PS4 at all anymore since getting my pc, I'm running a i7-6700, 4ghz, 8gb ram and a 970 so fingers crossed it can cope with the graphics. If not I may have to start saving for a 1060 wink

I had a good blast on it yesterday, took all day to download it but it was worth the wait, it has the same feel as the original, days feel longer and much less rain than FH2, you can form a convoy if you blow your horn at other festival drivers which is quite nice, if they get annoying you can dismiss them in the pause menu, I've hardly seen any of the map but it looks beautiful and very odd driving on the right (correct) side of the road.
I spent hours making my number plate in the editor laugh you can just use the built in plate but I wanted a U.K. version.

Left the demo downloading overnight, can't say I'm massively blown away by it. 40mins and all I'm left with is free-roam, kind of fair enough in a way as its only a demo, but I expected more for a 16gb download.

More fundamentally though, it just seems like a slightly shinier version of the last game. The graphics are great, but then they were on FH2 as well. The demo doesn't show any of the customisation options which is a bit of a worry - its been the same since FM1 and even Need for Speed recently showed how far behind the curve Turn10 were. The aqua-planing is a nice touch, but then it's not something I've ever been desperate for in a game.

I think I'm going to hold on to my money until the game drops in price. I've been stung too many times by Forza titles. Their business model seems to be to offer less than you could have in the previous title and then charge you through the arse for it as DLC.

I'll wait for someone to release the UK fonts on the storefront so I can have my personal plate biggrin I do like the look of the custom plates though. What really annoyed me with the Aston DB5 in previous Forzas is the number plate bit wasn't paintable so I couldn't make a Goldfinger replica boxedin

Playing on Xbone. I'm enjoying it.

It's addressed my biggest complaint from Horizon 2 that there were not enough recognisable and tighter twisty roads. Cool areas to explore and some nice little features like drone mode that really helps with the barn finds

I'm enjoying it so far. Managed a few fragmented hours on it here and there this weekend. The roads are more varied, there's a good mix of fast flowing roads and tighter undulating ones: still no mountain passes though, which is slightly disappointing. Small details like the F1 style light on the back of the F12 TDF flashing in bad weather are a nice touch. The car list is brilliant too.

The Aventador SV sounds dreadful, which is a shame, seeing as the rest of the V12 Lamborghinis sound fantastic, so hopefully that is patched soon enough. The drivatars are a continued pain in the arse, more than once I've been greeted with them two abreast on a narrow road, or randomly going off road at any given moment. I wish you could turn them off to be honest.

I joined the PHer club last night - I was the second member! The club on H2 was pretty big, so I'd imagine that it will pick up as people start to get the standard edition.

Really enjoying this. Love the fact you no longer have to continually change your car to race an event. I much prefer finding a car I enjoy and sticking to that for an amount of time (like the E46 M3). Racing seems closer as well.

Well worth a buy if you enjoyed FH2!

At what level do clubs become available?

Got the Meyers beach buggy as a barn find yesterday. it was a bit wheezy with the VW 1.5l engine so no I have gone all out and its a 3.3 twin turbo on dirt tyres and suspension. Lethal doesnt begin to cover it hehe had 190+mph from it.

I think my only real gripe at the moment is that there is too much to do!

Got events popping up left right and centre, challenges, barn finds, Buckets lists, DIY bucket lists, festival upgrades etc etc

I'm picking up an Xbox One S tomorrow as an upgrade to my well used Xbox 360 and really want to grab this game.

Can I just download it or do you need to get the physical disc still? I have pretty speedy unlimited internet so a big download isn't an issue.
