They usually start with the slightly wonky titles before going all in with the AAA titles...

Having just built my son his first PC of his own...this couldn't be more timely. I got him the Star Wars game collection last time there was a sale but tbh the old hand me down laptop just wasn't up to the job. He's going through my old games folder as well. Anybody remember the McDonalds Dragons discs? Lol

He's playing Battlelfield 2...I'm sure I have 2142 somewhere...anything so long as he doesn't waste an i5 processor and 4gb gfx card on fking agar.io

Anyone bought Beam NG? I get sort of tempted, then wonder if I'll get bored really quickly

I already have Beam NG. I got bored quick, It is a good simulator, but I couldn't get it to work with my controller or wheel properly. and i cant drive with a keyboard.

Personally, I would not bother with it.

Opposite for me, I love messing around in it and watching crashes or causing pile ups. Played it for 44 hours which is something like my 3rd highest played, not much for some people but still. I got my Logitech G27 to work and my X360 controller (Albeit without feedback).

I've just got back from a retro gaming night at The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge.

Having spent an hour of the night playing worms with three friends I will be using the sale to pick up a 4 pack of Worms Armageddon.

I bought Broforce, less than a fiver and extremely addictive game. Loving the old skool feel and humour - I don't even like platformers but can't stop playing it. High recommended.

If you've never played the Portal games (and why not?) they're both on for a couple of quid at the moment. Even if you've got them on the consoles, the PC version of Portal 2 lets you play user-created test chambers, which is pretty cool. Also there are a couple of free fan-made mods and one that's 4 quid

like this for quite a while, newer games get a st discount and it's the same stuff discounted as the Christmas sale. And last years summer sale. It used to be that you'd get some amazing games for cheap. now anything that's decent usually stays high or gets a paltry discount. I was after Metal Gear Solid The Phantom Pain and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I can get both, even after the discounts, from a key site.
