That's kind of the point! 
With pretty much all other games, it's just people sitting on their own not moving.
Yesterday evening, my 8yr old and I went on a 6 mile Pokéwalk! My wife tagged along as well, utterly bemused by the whole Pokemon thing, but delighted that everyone was so keen to get out of the house and do something healthy.
Next week, we'll have the two elder siblings back from Scout camp, and I forsee loads more similar outings.
Just to make things even better, I've just found out that it has now been launched in France as well, so Pokéholiday coming up!

Far from it actually. Max CP on an Onix is reported in some reliable Wikis as 857. I have two nearly full ones for my level at 490ish. I'm level 21.

Yep, I'm afraid botting is the best way to kill a multi-player game stone dead. People playing fair just can't compete.
It probably is tbh, however I don't enter any gyms, purely using it to catch Pokemon.
That sounds like taking a Google driverless car to a track day?
I've not been into a gym yet either, but was really chuffed at catching a 733 CP Hypno this morning with the first standard Pokeball I threw at him! : D

If the latter is true, I really want a Steelix. not really that bothered, its just a bit of fun. walked up through the city (Edinburgh) last night, caught lots of stuff. then when walking home from the pub (bit drunk) had a great laugh playing on the way home. my gf loves chatting to randoms when she realizes they are playing pokemon too.

I like this approach. Or, we could go mission impossible style. Upon cheating, a message will appear on screen saying "this device will self destruct in 5.."
