It's been so long that I forget - was original Pokemon set so that some were much better than others? I don't remember e.g racing being specifically much better than volt orb..

It's a pity, I'd love to see people grind to a 2000 cp rat or pidgeon..

I went for a Pokehunt with my 8yr old last night. Very few actual Pokemon in sight, but we did see a heron, a kingfisher and several flocks of parakeets. Not bad for a small local stream and park in suburban Surrey! smile

We did both catch something called a Dratini, which neither of us had. Mine - at level 12 - had a majestic 79 CP, whilst my son's - at level 6 - came in at 180+! irked

Dilemma, I just got my first lucky egg and have quite a few Mons in the pipeline that can be evolved. However, tomorrow am heading into the big city. Should I evolve the lot now or do it tomorrow while I am in town and hopefully finding many Pokemons?

Wait. You'll likely find some more powerful and you should stack about 40 evolutions to do in the half hour the egg gives you.

You can do 40-50 evolutions in 30 mins, you want to fill the time with evolutions if possible, there's nothing else that rewards XP/time as high.

Also if possible don't capture Pokemon yours will evolve in to, as that's an extra 1000xp you can get during the lucky egg run.

How can you do 40-50? Store millions of pidgys?

Pretty much, or 40-50 to be precise.

You don't just have to do the low candy ones, do all the evolves you can.

Pidgeys, Weedles and Caterpies are all 12 candy to evolve. Catch four without even transferring one amd you can evolve it, on a lucky egg that's 1000xp per four you catch, plus you get 100xp every time you catch something.

You get 500xp for adding something to the Pokedex, so if you don't have a Hypno yet, evolving Drowzee with a lucky egg awards 2000xp etc.

When I'm out and about I ignore Rattattas and Zubats but catch pretty much everything else.

Not at the moment, I've got about 5 Pidgeys, Weedles, Caterpies, Rattatas, Zubats etc and the required candy to evolve them, along with a few others.

I only have one of every pokemon in my collection now, I decided to transfer all duplicates to the professor to gain the extra candies. I guess I made a mistake lol.

Luckily Niantic have terrible customer relations and won't even respond to the request, let alone action it.

To be fair, if people are being loud, don't blame them.

The local spot I go to for pokestops can get very loud with flats directly opposite. Very disrespectful.
