Well I thought it only happened to 10yr old kids... but my phone was stolen while playing Pokemon Go this morning frown A motorbike came from behind, mounted the pavement, grabbed the phone then rode off.

Be vigilant fellow Pokemon hunters!

Some people get all the luck! I've just had my fifth 10km egg from a stop, and I'm level 22! I've got my fourth one on the go too, I'm hoping for something decent out of it to tip me over the 100 mark in the pokedex.
I've only had 7 all together and I'm level 24, it just happens 4 came in the last week.

Sorry to hear that. And the downside is the phone has to be unlocked whilst playing Pokemon so they can access pretty much anything.

They have certainly done something, the local Gym certainly seems to be owned by more realistic level animals, and I have been seeing some different mobs at my local spawn point. I just got a Geodude and Clefable at the same time, never seen either before, and earlier I caught my first Metapod, and last night, a Lickitung and Slowpoke. All firsts. The number of spawns certainly seems to be lower though.

Interestingly, I've had three in the last day or so. I guess it really is random.

Went to Holland Park today and collected 150 Bulbasaur candies in three hours, I now have Ivysaur and Venasaur. I got a couple more too resulting in 102 in the pokedex. Gotta catch em all...

I just had Seel (?) spawn, cp75 or so. Bopped it on the head with 1 pokeball, then it said "error" and disappeared! Had a Dratini about an hour ago, that I successfully caught. I don't think I have seen so many new monsters since the first day!

As I'm typing this, Seel has reappeared (yay!)

They've been rare for me until last week. Just evolved a Dewgong!

Other than that I'm sitting on about 60 evolutions ready to go, but I only plan to do them when the Magikarp grind is finally over. I have a 150cp Karp and 350 candies.

Is that good for a 'karp? I have one at 125 and I can't see how it can make for a decent Gyrados.

The multiplier on evolving a Magikarp is between 10.1 and 11.8. A 125 will go to a minimum 1262 Gyarados.

Use this site to see what you're looking at on evolutions:

Hatched this little fella last night, my boy really wanted an Arcanine, but just about wet himself when he got an Arcanine puppy all of his own. smile

Liking the wigglytuff, guessing it's an evolved jigglypuff. Cute indeed.

And of course eevee qualifies. Just caught the last one I need *ahem* we need. wink to do the name change trick and force her to evolve into a Jolteon.

Careful with that one, especially if you need it for gyms. Jolteon comes out with about 25% less CP than Vaporeon, Flareon is closer at about 7% less.

That said, Jolteon's a pretty awesome attacker because it's so quick, and has an advantage against all the water types you see defending. I'm not sure whether it entirely makes up for the CP deficit, though.

cheers, all his decisions are very carefully made and considered. (He's only 8 but is getting VERY into it). And a Volteon is the one he decided on.

It's quite incredible, the capacity for learning and remembering facts, numbers names etc that kids have... But only when its something that really engages with them.

Was speaking with a teacher yesterday, and she agreed, they can memorise all the facts of Pokemon, and Match Attax cards.... but struggle with learning their 7 times tables.

Heh, absolutely. All of my knowledge and enthusiasm comes from when I was pretty much his age, perhaps even younger, playing on my Game Boy - none of this modern "colour" or "advance" nonsense, one of these, Genesis for handheld gaming, powered by four AAs biggrin

Eighteen years later, playing Go makes me realise it's all still in there.

Funny, since downloading the app I dug out my old Gameboy Colour (2xAA wink) and started hammering through my old Pokemon cartridges for fun.

Dug my colour out but it doesn't want to play ball frown

I was interested to see where I left off in pokemon blue.

Cutest pokemon is probably still pikachu... especially as it's the only one I've found in this game that actually has a proper sound when you tap it. The rest just make varying digital sounding screeches. Pikachu gives a proper "pikachuuuu!"
