Hmmm I've been part of level 10 gyms a few times and the longest I've ever been in has been 4 days. Gyms still change hands very frequently in London! Most I can hope for is 20 maybe 30 coins per day.

Still plenty of activity round here with gyms changing hands every few hours. Have only ever managed to collect 2 bonuses for time served.

You realise you can claim the coins/stardust as soon as you take over a gym right?

Go to the shop straight away and click on the little shield. If you are about to take over more than one gym in a short space of time, wait till you have populated the last gym then you can collect the bonus for all gyms rather than just the first gym. You will then be able to collect the bonus every 21hrs that you stay in the gym.

Does this apply to anyone putting a Pokemon into a gym, or only the first person to do it after the previous team has been kicked out? Thinking how best to avoid arguments between my boys!

Be aware that you'd need to train the gym up to the next level to be able to add more that one Pokemon to it. If you can do that though (by no means easy with busy gyms) then both boys should be happy.

Adding a pokemon in a gym increases its prestige by 2000. So straight after taking over a gym, 3 people can add pokemon without any training.

Ahh, cheers, never realised it would work like that. I've never quite been in that position, have always either taken over a gym on my own or had to train one up to add a Pokemon.

The egg colour differentiation is good. Not noticing more candy (yet), but did notice earlier I seemed to get 25XP for an attempted catch on a 'Mon which subsequently ran away...
