I started playing for the first time properly last night, ended up walking the 2 miles home rather than taking the bus hehe

Anyone else using it in Edinburgh?
yes, loads of pokestops and pokemon to be caught in an around town. I live in the 'new town' and there's loads round me, a little walk down into stockbridge and around inverleith park makes for a productive evening.

I had a walk from Slateford through to Granton, haven't been into town yet. Main advantage where I live is walking with your face down into a phone means you don't have to see all the local 'characters' as you walk past hehe

A Dragonite spawned in Bristol city centre today at around 1:30, at least 100 people stod around swiping and hoping to catch it, was quite funny to watch so many people in one area, people who clearly ran to catch it, some people getting so excited when catching it, people getting really angry if it fled. I caught mine so was pretty happy.

What CP was it and what level are you? I was happy enough with Dratini earlier today. A similar thing happened in our town yesterday when Poliwrath spawned by the river, atleast thirty odd people were either side of it having a go.

A Vaporeon was in Manchester today lol, caused a similar stir. Mine ran off at the first attempt. It said the CP was ??? so I guess that's over 1000?

Makes sense. My highest isn't very high.

Are the chances of catching something like that basically zero?

Not really, worse the colour of the ring the harder it will be to catch, that's where you'd use Razz Berries and better balls, and try harder to get a decent throw.

I played the original Pokemon when I was a kid. It involved sitting on your own in the same place. The new one is just too much effort.

I did however have an old gentleman in work ask me what all the fuss was about.

" Your a youngun' whats this poke ball thing you lot are going mad about "

I just told him it was a craze that would be dead by the time the schools go back in September.

I'd be excited if I could either log in, or not have it crash any time a pokemon turned up. It's got a week to improve, or it's getting deleted.

Went lucky egg hatching today. Phone mount to bike and cycled for miles, not too fast. Hatched two 10ks and 4 of my 2ks. Got a strong onix for one.

I absolutely guarantee this is not a phase and will still be played by millions this time next year.

May I borrow your crystal ball? I could do with next week's Euromillions numbers. Ta.

Had a successful morning with a lucky egg on my walk to work. Managed to get from 17 to almost 19 whilst grabbing a few very high level Hypno's and managed to evolve my Squirtle into a wartortle. He's up at 500ish so hopefully i can eventually get a decent blastoise out of him!
