The starter Pokemon have a really low capture rate, so I always razz berry and great ball them, even if the are 10cp

This is my current hall, not quite as impressive as Gazz but close.

Where do you guys manage to get Dragonites from? I'm level 18, and haven't even had one pop up on my radar!

10km egg coolcool

Caught this along with about 50 other people:

So gutted about the low CP. Makes me want to finish the Magikarp grind. I need me a monster version of it.

One appeared for me luckily, it was the second one of the day, the first one fled on me which I did get quite annoyed at.

It was only yesterday I realised that you get Stardust for every Pokemon each time you catch one. I've been catching certain Pokemon to power up the one it evolved into...

Yep, I feel like a total knob.

I've got my first Pokemon on a gym anyway so let's see it defeated in about 3 seconds. It's in Wilmslow if anyone wants to leave it alone.

The Albert Dock in Liverpool has alot of Dratini's and a few Dragonairs. It's a hot spot for them so alot of people get Dragonites that way. Same with Magikarps and catching so many to evolve into Gyrados.

How do you get them all in the 1000's? Mine are all around 5-600cp is it just the case of using power up?

The higher the level you are the higher co Pokemon you find, although I believe on rare occasions you can catch more powerful ones

Sorry noob here.

So far all my daughter and I have been doing is walking around catching everything we see. Well that's when we have some balls to catch them in, Pokestops are a bit thin on the ground here.

Anyway seems to me that the low CP pokrmon are a waste of time having apart from getting xp etc for catching them.

Can you trade them in for more balls or something ?

It's all about your level. Keep the pidgeys and the weedles. Once you've levelled enough (lvls 9, 10, 15) to acquire a lucky egg, use it then spend 30 minutes evolving your collected small fry one by one. This will make your level soar and consequently so will the cp level of the pokemon you catch.

A Blastoise just ran away from me just off Deansgate in Manchester. Wasted all my Pokeballs on the jumped up blue tt turtle.
