Ok, and with apologies for a too stereotypical description of game makers.

Can we get back on topic now that we've had the ever so hilarious and edgy observational comedy. smile

Anybody noticed spawn points changing? My local park is now a Squirtle hotspot.

I haven't been out on it for a few days, mid-level 19 now.

I feel I need to try some new places and crack on with catching new stuff as I've reached a sort of plateau with what I'm encountering now..

Same. Went for a 10k walk yesterday around North London and got a bit more variety in my encounters. Think I'm going to start walking the 5 miles to my office in the mornings too whilst the weather's still nice - saves a few quid on tube fares and serves as a nice bit of exercise!

Capture rates seem to be lower than they were before the update too, not sure if that's imagined or not though.

How are people managing the ever increasing XP levels? I'm at 23 now but it's getting really difficult to make a dent without lucky eggs. 125000 xp needed even with a lucky egg that's 125 evolutions so 500 pidgeys to catch.

I'm not! I've been Level 21 for the last week. It's so hard to play the game now.

Levelling up after 20 isn't really that necessary, wild Pokemon will be a good level mostly and eggs hatching reach their cap when your level is 20 as well.

Getting to 20 is the important part. After that, powering up your Pokemon, catching rare stuff and smashing gyms becomes more relevant.

Update:

I just asked for each individual payment to be refunded and it's done straight away, all my purchases were refunded which was about £50!!

Hasn't showed up yet, I assume I have to wait a couple hours?

According to Apple the refund should appear on your statement within five to seven days.

If you haven't already seen it, take a look at this thread on Reddit. If you've spent money on the game, people are requesting refunds of IAP due to Niantec changing the way the game works.

Takes the michael when you pay for items that are defective. Lost enough egg hatches due to app crashes to warrant it imo.

That's not even the reason behind the refund, but you make a good point.

yikes

How on earth do you spend that much money on it???????

I thought I was being ludicrously profligate spending £3.99 to get a couple of extra egg incubators! hehe

I spent £7.99 and my wife gave me hassle for that!! I've requested a refund though but will have to wait to ask the wife if it went through as the Apple ID is in her name!
