I CAN NOT get in the first three on Gran Turismo 5, the VW campers on Top Gear's Dunfold circuit. How can something so slow get in the first three?!

You need to go to the back of the class and change your name to Slowchas.

Cosmophony - Level 5

Have got 50% through so far as a personal best and i must have tried hundreds of times. If you have a PS4 or Vita you have to give it a go though its a great game and very addictive.

I dont think the youtube videos really give a true reflection of the speed either

Not that I can recall, but then I am skill.

Folk who think Bloodborne and Dark Souls are hard, don't make me laugh. I completed Ninja Gaiden 2 on Warrior difficulty. Just when you think you're at the end and you've climbed the mountain, you're forced to complete a gauntlet of most of the earlier bosses again. Except this time, you have to fight two at once...!

Worst memory is Aliens way back on the C64.

Couldn't get the drop ship through that flight path (Guiding it through rings on the screen as I remember).

So, buy a game. Fail to get through the very first bit of game play. Chuck it a drawer never to be seen again! paperbag

Challenge accepted. Thanks. :-)

I utterly and completely suck at Bloodborne on PS4. Still stuck in very first level and have been killed countless times.
Funnily I had no problems with Dark Souls and love Witcher 3. But that Bloodborne stuff.... no idea how people can like it.

I think it took me about 20 goes to get it, which is ridiculous. I never finished the game properly but I did find the cheat mode to have a go at the last level - also utterly ridiculous, there were so many cars flying around it looked like a low-poly version of The Blues Brothers. biggrin
I genuinely completed the last level of driver without cheating. I still have no idea how.

I submit "Super Hexagon" for twitch gaming perfection/irritation.

I can't think of many that I can't complete, but I play mostly racing games, although one sticks in my mind: Call of Duty 4 on veteran. What a great challenge that was! Particularly the level in the TV station where you had to move forward to stop enemies spawning, but it was a never ending barrage of grenades. Oh and waiting for the helicopter with Captain McMillan took hours and hours to complete - Much harder than the Mile High Club mission later on. smile

That was one of my favourite games as a kid and got so good at it by the end I could complete it without saving once. Bet I could still do most of the quests from memory as well. As for stuff I wasn't so good at:

Super Mario Kart - star cup 150cc, which was the cause of a fair few temper tantrums
Simpsons Road Rage - could never complete the final level
Dead Space 2 - normal game was fine, but not hardcore mode (where you only have 3 saves)
Gran Turismo 4 - that final challenge where you have to chase a 300SK around the Ring
Gears of War 3 - last boss on insane difficulty, at least not without doing the workaround where someone else joins on casual setting

Also have plenty of Xbox 360 and One games where I am only missing a single achievement, but don't fancy picking up the bits of smashed controller that would be lying on the floor after attempting them. Beating Alien Isolation without dying, Braid in under 45 minutes, FEAR on extreme difficulty etc. Then there's the insanely long winded ones I don't want to spend months trying to get, such as 10,000 matches in Quake 4 or Seriously 3.0 in Gears 3

Don't give up! Bloodborne was my first "Souls" like experience. I died SO MANY times before I got to the first lantern. Literally hundreds of times. Eventually you learn the pattern of the enemies and how to dodge them (rather than tank behind a shield) and you get it. Take your time and bring each enemy out in sequence and keep backing off to fight them in your own space, over and over and eventually you will get it. Incredibly worthwhile as from that point on one of the best games ever unfolds. Stick at it!

(morale boost over..) :-)

Cheers

Stuntman. I ended up cheating to get to some of the later levels but could only do some of the parts of each movie. It's even more difficult going back to it now I'm so used to using triggers for throttle/brake rather than X/Square.

The challenge in Assetto Corsa to get 20,000 drift points with the Audi Quattro. I just can't get that damn car to drift! Every other drift challenge is easy, even using the X-Bow and 458 but I can't even get bronze with the Audi frown

There was a mission in GTA3 I think where you had to help this guy defend his model shop from a load of toy aeroplanes with a minigun and I could never do that one, never finished GTA3 because of it.

Some of the Destiny raids came close, but they were usually more fun because you had people with you.

Oh yeah and on the PS3, one of the metal gear solids, first level you were in this arabian village or something, spent about 2 hours trying to figure out what to do, couldn't even get out of the village so sacked it off, never played it again. Sons of the Patriots?

Do you mean GTA: San Andreas? That one was really annoying but I scraped through. I struggled alot with the gold in the last mission of the driving school frown

Yes think I got stuck there too. Fortunately he game was so huge and it was later on in the game I'd probably had enough of it by then anyway!

The most rage inducing games of my childhood were the side scrolling platformers. Donkey Kong Country (1 or 2 or both) had some infuriating levels with a series of perfectly timed jumps onto moving barrels. Some of the Megaman games were infuriatingly tough.

Broken Sword was funny, but I think I got stuck and gave up.
