A few..
WWF vs WCW, 8 people sharing 4 player, roayal rumble. Get evicted and pass the controller, drink a beer. Lots of fun.
Goldeneye, 3 player proximity mines, bunker. Whoever has the sex pot vs the other 2. Once defender is dead, the other 2 are no longer allied.
But most of all, counterstrike with teamspeak. Used to play with the same people all the time, one was an utter gump and he rose to trolling so much. If I couldn't beat him, I'd simply join his team and TK. Nowt he could do, we were both admins. Man, I wasted a LOT of friday nights drinking and playing CS.

Used to play rifle only on MoH:SH (medal of honor) religiously through my years at school. Eventually joined a 'clan' after an accident had me home bound for a few months and pushed the team to the top of the league we were in as the designated sniper.
Something quite proud knowing your handspeed is quick enough to headshot someone jumping from a balcony as you drop down into a river with a split second to shoot!
what clan was it? played a lot of MOHAA an SH, won a couple of Euro cups etc.Something quite proud knowing your handspeed is quick enough to headshot someone jumping from a balcony as you drop down into a river with a split second to shoot!
Gaming moment? There are so many really, but there are a few anecdotes that spring to mind whenever I talk of such things with friends.
The first would be from Battlefield 1942. For those of you old enough to remember it, this anecdote took place on the Crete map playing as the Germans. As the Hun spawned on a small island and relied on a player flying the JU-52 transport plane over the main island so players could parachute out and move to capture it, and if you died you had to wait on the spawn island until the plane landed to pick up respawns. I recall me and another player stood in the middle of the runway waiting for the plane to land. I looked at him, then looked away at something else. I looked back at him but at this precise moment the plane flew low over the runway, with its main wheel smacking into the other player and sending his pre-ragdoll body flying across the island. Highly amusing at the time as I couldn't hear the aircraft coming near, the noise only appeared when it was right next to you.
Other anecdotes would come from DayZ (mod). Anyone who has played this will know the sheer adrenaline rushes and fear generated with this game; in all my years of gaming I've never experienced such emotions from a game other than this one. Genuine fear hiding in a bush from another player who's skulking around after you; trigger blasting frenzies when the adrenaline is making your fingers tremble when you're attempting to clear a building to secure its precious loot. I've never known a game like this where hours of running about the map "gearing up" only to have it all snatched away from you because you chose to run through an open field instead of skirting the hedgerows forces you to start from scratch again. No instant action respawns here; you die, you have to spend the time building your equipment up again to become a fighting force.

If we're talking single player, I have quite a few, especially powerful moments that made me sit back and realise just how awesome gaming is. I think one of my first moments was the first Assassin's Creed, the first time I rode out onto that plateau overlooking Damascus, it just took my breath away. First time I cried at a game was Infamous 2's ending when I played evil and you have to turn on one of your friends, that whole scene. Most recent one was the Pacifist ending of Undertale. When Asriel breaks down in front of you... yeah.
Multiplayer, there's a lot to count. Especially the GTA community here have been great in making moments special, but if I had to pick one moment it would be when we first tried racing RVs in the rain. These are old ones, imagine the vans from Breaking Bad, a full grid of eight of them going downhill in the pouring rain. We get to the first corner, turn on the steering wheels and NOTHING HAPPENS. All of us plough straight off the edge of the cliff howling with laughter, and I don't think anything's topped that since.

Sorry for long post but I have too many to list, here are my standout games!
Space invaders on the Atari 2600. The first game I clocked and the game changing fact that you didn't have to plough loads of 10p's into an arcade machine!
Next is Outrun, the first car game I played with a wheel, the amount of money I ploughed into this machine! I loved the gameplay, graphics and the music!
Paperboy loved the music on this!
Half life 2 probably the best game I've ever played, everything about it, scenery, sound effects and gameplay oh and the physics- gravity gun etc!
Marble Madness amazed at the physics on this game.
Cod modern warfare whenever somebody came round I'd have to show them the start of this game (SAS being dropped onto the ship) and the part where you are dropping bombs from the plane, had never seen anything like it before!
The getaway on PS2 amazed at the graphics and it was based in London so you had British cars and scenery, what more could you want!
Uncharted 3 the train scene at the start had my jaw to the floor!
Drive club, beautiful looking game and it's still got the best rain effects, check it out on YouTube.
Dirt Rally, best car game I have played for a while and the steering wheel set up is easy, not like Project Cars which is a complete nause to set up! Dirt Rally's engine sounds are amazing too!
Most emotional scene will be what happens next on the below in The Last Of Us. My all time favourite game I think.
New stuff? Currently having me jaw drop to the floor many times playing Uncharted 4, it's worth buying a ps4 solely for this game.
Future stuff? Can't wait for the PS VR, ,think it will be the next game changer and I think there will be many disappointed kids who don't get this on Christmas Day!

Plenty but, as this is a motoring forum...
Finding a random race on GT5 on line. Caterhams around Spa, the worst tyres and all aids (including ABS - which in GT was 'a big deal', because the braking physics were awful) off. As hardcore as you'd get GT5 and 10 laps, too. So a long race. And in a Playseat with a G25 attached.
Figured it would be carnage but the five or so players were all absolutely on it. Everyone was on top of their cars, every lap on the ragged edge with hard but fair (and respectful) racing.
I remember sending one up the inside into Les Combs, braking like there's an egg under the pedal, wincing as the skittish Caterham on cheesey tyres slid towards the corner, thinking that this is as close to 'real' racing as I'll probably ever get! All the same emotions I'd gone through when racing karts (in real life, that is)
Great experience. And all from a video game.

Can't pick one so here's a few:
The crane puzzle in Half Life 2, or to be more specific the moment I realised the physics were completely accurate.
Spending endless nights after primary school playing Super Mario Kart battle mode and 4 player Super Bomberman 2
Ace Combat 6 where you liberate the capital city. The soundtrack still makes the hairs on my neck stand up
Not a favourite, but the ending and white phosphours scene is Spec Ops the Line is still one of the darkest games I've played

Achieving Deadly status on Elite, on an Acorn Electron in about 1984 ! Never got to Elite, but I was invincible in my Cobra.
Finishing Road Rash on the mega drive in the early 90's. or to have fully upgrading everything.
Really not had too much to do with gaming as such: but I remember buying a PS2 to play GTS, vice city.
connecting it up, the titles rolling and just being absolutley staggered about the graphics, game play: plus the setting, as a teenager in the 80's- here I was back in the 80's with the music......... my I loved that game. It really changed the definition of gaming- with its freeplay. The GTA series, along with Fallout are the only ones Ive ever bothered with (or had time for) but I have completed them all as such.

I remember playing Colin McRae Rally 2 back in the day with my Microsoft Sidewinder steering wheel and pedals. What a game!
MK2 Escort or any one of the 4wd cars were immense on the French tarmac stages. I was unbeatable on that game. We used to go round to my house at lunch times for a quick bash when we were still at school - no one could get close to my times

So many but
1. The first time we linked up two pcs and I found my friend in Doom. Looked at each other moving around and then shotgunned him. It was the start of real FPS and competing for me
2. Proper clan match on Counter Strike Source. All your team are dead. 3 of the enemy are still alive. All your team are viewing through your players eyes.. You clutch. Add to that once you have an audience at a LAN or proper competition. Amazing. Pressure and YYYYUSSS!!! moment when it all comes off. A drug like rush.
