I wouldn't quite say impossible - 9 times out of 10 with the controller I'll get a tank slapper, but that one time I manage to perfectly time the flick back from opposite lock to catch a slide is immensely satisfying!

Ah well Papajohn, then you should start on the slippery slope to racing rigdom, like some of us geeks. I used a pad for years on Live for Speed, and PS3. Several hundred pounds later I have a pretty good setup. The only things I'm missing are VR and full motion...kids and their (expensive) toys and all that. It's a proper hobby for me though, my favourite thing to do in my free time, I get a real buzz from it, and it's made me a better track driver (on the rare occasions I get on track).

I dreamed about sims like this when I was young, but all I had was a box of corgi cars and a patterned carpet (didn't even have a road mat lol).

If I had the time and the room I'd no doubt have a dedicated setup. I had few hours on my mates PC setup with wheel/pedals before the Nurburgring trip last September.
I sold the car I used for trackdays just before xmas in favor of something more frugal and bought the PS4 as a bit of a distraction

Not too easily myself, every time I get a really hot lap going I manage to bin it. But trying to get a clean and fast lap is all part of the challenge!
God I so badly need a wheel and pedals.....

Similar story for me, I only got into AC because I'm off to the Nurburgring in June, and this seemed the best way to get to know the track. I bought the game in November having not really played any computer games for over 10 years, but was blown away by how "real" it feels with a FFB wheel - I'd like to think it will make me a better track driver, I guess I'll find out when the Caterham comes out of hibernation in the next month or so. I'd love to get a decent racing rig at some point, but am tempted to wait until the next generation VR comes out before diving in...
