I agree to an extent but I get worryingly bored of driving the GT3 cars and honestly struggle to discern much between them. They're too capable.
I think it's good to have a variety - some people may love the tin top racers, some the road cars and some the single seaters. For example, I only drive the single seaters, unless I'm competing in a specific PH challenge such as this thread. I've just noticed that the overwhelming majority of new cars that are released are road cars, which I think is a shame as it leaves a lot of people unsatisfied. I'd happily pay for the sorts of cars I listed above. I'm actually moving to iRacing as soon as we get proper internet so that I can drive their FRenault.Edited by RobM77 on Tuesday 25th October 15:28

The 917 is fkING AMAZING!
And I put Moby Dick into a wall at quite an impressive speed. Take note: it can't do Eau Rouge flat.
The moby is quite easily the weirdest car in the game for me, fun at 100% boost but it seems to suddenly lose all semblance of grip for no apparent reason. It's the first car raising the ride height and stiffening the suspension has made a much better car of it.And I put Moby Dick into a wall at quite an impressive speed. The gt4 is inevitably fun in a momentum conservation way.
917..... no idea, I can't get that to go round a corner at all
It's the braking in the 917 that freaks me out. I think it needs quite a lot of work to setup properly. The turbo lag in the 635 is properly hilarious! Full throttle, read a few books, have a cup of tea and then hit a wall very quickly indeed.
I also enjoyed the 918 more than I thought I would. I think I may need to setup a race between P1s, LaFerraris and 918s now.

Oh, I was also quite surprised that I spent quite a bit of time driving the boggo 991 C2S around Black Cat County. I know the road cars aren't as much fun as the racers but it was good fun trying to get it to go quickly, probably due to the fact I spent quite a lot (too much?) time trying to get the Ruf RT12R around there quickly without understeering into rocks and the C2S just seemingly having more feel and composure.
I get the feeling they've put a LOT of effort into the Porsches, perhaps because of some terms from Porsche, as they all feel good to drive and the models are quite possibly the best yet. In fact, the only real disappointment is that you can't get the 918 in the Martini livery

I've just had my first go with the Porsche pack around Mugello I tried the 917/30 and the RSR 3.0.
The 917's pretty cool! Power from the year 2025 and tyres from the 1970s, with the handling of a Ford Focus It's also the first car I've ended up with the brake bias under 50%?! I had to tweak the suspension a fair bit to get rid of the understeer too.
I then tried the RSR, which was utterly delightful - really lovely fingertip stuff, a bit like the E30 M3, just harder edged and with a more charismatic engine. I didn't touch the setup other than to lower it and it was just lovely.

Not sure if mentioned but the 917 had/has a locked differential so that is why it's a dog around tight corners. You have to make sure you are in very low gear for the corners too.
It's a beautiful pack for a great game. I set-up a race between a P1, 918, La Ferrari, Saleen, Bugatti Chiron, Koenissegg One and a Lambo Aventador SV. I was in the P1 and managed to grab a cheeky win. The P1/Ferrari and 918 all get the power down so well.
What a game.

Didn't know it was completely locked, that'd explain why I can barely get around one of the hairpins on the nordschleife. It's a beautiful pack for a great game. Nordschleife
Setup Limitations
None
Cut off Date & Time

Time for the infamous track, Nordschleife. This track has claimed many cars over its years and now it is time to take (slide) one of two old Formula One cars around it. With just under 13 miles of track to get around it's certainly going to be a challenge to get a valid lap time.
Slow and steady wins the race? We shall see!
According to RSR the potential time for the cars are:-
Ferrari 312T - 6:28:693
Lotus 72D - 6:32:535
However so far, I think, we have set new records for each combo we have visited so even though there is a slight time gap that might not be the case when you get to grip with the car.

Note the extra addition to the table.
Had a quick go, only 2 laps but pleased the 2nd lap was clean!
