Personally I found the 'Vette easier to drive without aids as one can leave it in a higher gear in corners and use the torque without risking the back end coming out.
Does anyone else find though that they can only manage one or two hot laps before the front tyres soar to 140 degrees and lose all grip? Maybe it's just my driving style...
Yeah, I had a quick go on the Corvette with Supersofts and both front and rears were red hot before the end of the 1st lap....

Also, when we say "Driving aids off" - I have taken this to mean "factory settings" for traction control & ABS as per "pro" (and stability control off), or are we saying we should be switching everything off even when the cars run with these as standard in real life?

Yep, the usual amount of fuel etc.
I assumed that being race cars, the "factory" settings for ABS and TC were equivalent to "off" because they don't have any, however if that is not the case then factory will do. Feel free to put it in pro mode if you like the extra challenge though!

I may have cheated using the ABS, happy to retry if not. Very edgy car when pushed!

As clarified, factory is fine although this does give the 599 an advantage with the more aggressive drivers as the C7 doesn't have any!I've managed to shave off a few seconds from my Corvette time by getting a properly clean lap in, but then bust it in the Ferrari with its out of the box ABS.
Can't say I'm a fan of the handling on the Nissan I'm afraid.

d and I can't get any configuration to work with the pc where it has ffb but doesn't grind like an old Leyland gearbox. ChemicalChaos said:

I think with using the controller, it's a lot harder to find that right amount of throttle when trying not to either spin up or lose speed on corners - a pedal has much more travel and therefore is easier to find a good balance / feather in the throttle when needed IMO.Just ran a 2.00.770 with the corvette on soft slicks, which makes the 599XX feel like it has soap bars for wheels

Its probably as I'm not very good, but some of you are over 6 seconds a lap faster than me! I'm struggling to get faster than 2:04.5, especially with a "clean" lap.
Seems to sometimes punish for having a wheel the wrong side of a rumble strip which kills the lap.
Using PC with Steering wheel, but granted I haven't put a huge amount of time in to the game since christmas.
Are there any PC add-ons which help alot?

Updated my Ferrari time and added a Corvette time - there is no way I would make under 2:05 in that Skyline!
