Working at home tomorrow and a long call just got cancelled meaning I have a big hole in my day :-)

Not run this track yet though, could be a steep learning curve, a 5 minute lap........

Couldn't be more different to last weeks, reasonably easy track to learn the layout of, not sure I'm anywhere near a good time though, might get more time tomorrow.

Do PS4 and Xbox have a setting that sets track temps for all tracks, because I am seeing big differences in temperatures on some screens and that can effect performance.

PC settings (that are accepted as Pro times online) are ambient air temp at 26 and track temp at around 34-37 and it's then used on all tracks.

You can set ambient temp on Xbox but not track temp.

Took a while to put a decent lap together once I'd figured out where i was losing lots of time.

I reckon I'm a good 4/5 seconds faster upto turn 5/6 but I can't get through the long fast chicane with out messing it all up, trying to hard.

Maybe try again tomorrow before the deadline.

What does your wheel/pedal setup look like ? You still on the sofa?

Very well balaned car, all about trying to keep the weight transfer smooth I think.
Are there any general online quick guides for setups in simracing, or do I need to buy a book on suspension?

Trial and error is slow.

The basics are - dampers control transients (i.e. when weight is moving around) and springs/ anti roll bars are for the steady state stuff - when the car is fully loaded up in the middle of a corner.

But to be honest, tyre pressures are the most important thing. Changing them can sometimes be all you need.

Managed to knock a huge chunk off my time eventually. I found that there is also a balance with the ambient temperature - up to a point, you get more grip. After that, your laps are slower because the tyres cant cool down again after overheating in a corner. Funnily enough, the balanced temperature seems to be the stock 25 degree ambient the PC guys use.
