Battlefield 1 - PS4 chat and banter
Discussion
So, first few hours on last night.
- the game looks and sounds gorgeous.
- map design is a measure above bf4, lots of cover, authentic destruction and your character not constantly getting caught on an errant rock/tree stump/long grass.
- Seem to be two or three guns everyone is using, but the game is only 3 days old and the unlock system is odd, so we'll see.
- as usual any party chat with more than 3 PHers in just descended into adults swearing at each other.
Enjoying it so far.

Some good games last night with some of you slowly mastering the sniping but Medic is the class i always end up going back to purely for reviving and the rigoti/sweeper rifles.
That Italian hillside map last night was quality. 3 heavy tanks cutting about (Guess someone on our side proffed the enemies one as they jumped out?) and the airship only lasted a few minutes.
happy to be a medic we again next time i am on as i saw 1 or 2 of you having some fun with the support class!

I've been on this a few nights and am slowly getting the hang of it, I'm not very good at being a killing machine so normally play as support ready to lay down ammo packs and suppressing fire and occasionally changing over to an anti-tank roll when necessary.
I used to do the same in BF4 and have several PH member added already (Buzz-84 is my PSN) and find the game so much better when you can get into a organised squad even if its just keeping together on the map and working the same objectives. I do have a mic but rarely use it as i normally play when Mrs Buzz is asleep so don't want to wake her!
In BF4 there was an option to join friends in game, cannot seem to see that in BF1 - from what i can see the only way so far is to create or join a party and then join the game that way, which all seems rather crap as there is not always one running. there also doesnt seem to be a way to find what servers friends are on in order to just join them. it was all good for that in BF4 but seems to have taken a big step back in ease of joining up as a squad

There is, although I can't remember the sequence of what you do so hopefully someone will be along to properly explain, but basically it something like you push down on the game icon in PSN and it lists all your friends playing it and then click on one of them, alternatively go to friends in PSN, click on them and join game via that. HOWEVER there is a bug whereby if the friend you joined on is in a full squad you will be stuck on your own, unable to join any other squads, and only auto joining your friend when a space becomes available. In other news I have broken my PH tags duck, I proudly own a set of Pilchards, although any of you knowing his play style will recognise it as no great achievement as, as usual, he was hanging at the back of his team taking people out with a 'DMR' so very easy to creep up on

The other one thats missing is the clan tag option, I seem to remember them putting it into BF4 after lots of requests, then BF1 comes along and that options gone. was always good for spotting fellow PH'ers either on the same team or as an enemy to kinife...
