Battlefield 1 - PS4 chat and banter

It seems to me that the gulf between playing with Randoms and PH'rs has widened in this game. The lack of teamwork with randoms is maddening!

I only managed to get one round in with the usual crowd but it was so refreshing to actually be working as a squad.

It's very COD like regarding its mechanics with randoms. Half don't even PTFO. It's become the norm to have the squad at the top of the team by the end of the match..

Yeah it seem to me like a totally hit and miss around the team you get with ransoms! If your on a good team it's easy, it not it can be very hard!

I think the mini map is one issue as it can be hard to locate your squad let alone what the rest of your team are doing!

I rage quit today. Hit detection all over the shop, lag and the only people seeking to cap objectives was he Merc lot, sway and myself.

Is this havoc with a changed username? I saw you left as you and kitty joined on me during st quentic scar. You left for the next round which followed with me doing this on a horse...




I was howling the whole way through as it doubles up as a battering ram against infantry!

I also didn't realise you could lob nades from the horse as well!!! Well chuffed.

Yes mate it is! I've just been on with Steve and found my feet in the anti tank role!

If you jump off you get to take the rifle with you which is st hot shall we say or maybe it just works for me?

Also BAR on single shot = awesome

Also people are saying flying the planes as being quite hard yet im finding them quite easy. Need to unlock the rockets for it now though

Yep. Tried to join on others earlier and it wouldn't work. Tried quickmatch and that did not work either!

Problems here too.

Was on with Karl, Pilch and a couple of others, then it binned us out at the end of the match.

Yeah it's pretty gucci to use as a med range oron sighted sniper rifle!!

Spawning in with shotty helps as if ypu wanted to jump off the horse next to an enemy you can down him straight off.

I've got a good feel for the Lvl 10 Scout rifle. Very nice.

What makes the BAR so good? Does it do the damage of the medic class guns (30 odd damage per shot)? Can't wait to unlock it. Not really getting on with support at the moment.

If you select single shot it works like a dmr in bf4 and fires rapidly, so on fully auto you would have to burst fire it to be accurate, this time you dont. I dont think it does as much damage as the medic rifles but it fires faster.

I think the sniper rifles will be the go to gun soon enough as theres a couple for the non dedicated sniper that seem to be st hot with 1 shot kills no matter where on the body

i need to learn to be a team player but i snipe so much that it helps in some way, if you use a headset can you talk to just your squad or can everyone hear you.

getting to know the sniper spots now and even using the drop for some shots, had a head shot and over 300m yesterday, bet he was raging.

thing is i dont have a squad, i just join if spaces.

I finally managed to get on for an hour or so last night, it would appear I have lost any skills I had in BF4 but I'm hoping that's down to the maps all being alien to me and the default weapons vs people who have clearly been playing a lot.

Generally impressed with it all so far but it's not really an era I enjoy compared with current day stuff.

I noticed that the companion app for Android & iOS lets you select / create a new emblem and thankfully my PH one from BF4 was sat there waiting to be selected. Not sure if you can prefix [PH] to your name as in earlier versions but I've added everyone on the list of PS4 BF1 players on here in the hope of some decent games amongst team players.

Not just you, for some reason I haven't gelled with the game either, being significantly worse at this than any previous battlefield.

Which is annoying because in terms of look and feel this has been my favourite game since bad company 2.

Just need to find a play style that works on these maps. There was a comment from dice before release saying maps are bigger than ever before, wonder if that has anything to do with it
