Battlefield 1 - XBOX
Discussion
I've added most of you and have already played with a few on a few games before.
Managed to get nearly 2 full fireteams together over the weekend and had a great time of finding the right balance in the squads. I found that you can never have too many medics but as a minimum two is a good number. Both reviving and at least one with the healing kits. One support and then two can do whatever they like.
Had some great games when one of the squad picks up a sentry kit and then a medic and support follow him around, topping him up, or stealing some enemy tanks and managing to roll around in an armoured column together. I really like the artillery truck but it's a bit of a glass cannon.
I like the idea of operations but I haven't gotten to grips with it yet and have suffered loads on certain maps when I have tried. I'm still preferring Conquest more than anything.
A couple of things that have helped me, a lot of the rifles in the medic class have selective fire modes and can be fired full auto.... and I get on a lot better with the anti-air sights in support.
Also, an active squad leader that regularly sets orders will massively increase your score and xp. If you're with randoms then spam them with order requests.

I had some excellent games this evening. My hammer of doom was on good form. I managed to chase a tank away from an objective by tapping it with my hammer. The tank exploded, and I shot the fleeing passengers with my Lewis Gun, scoring another two kills before catching the last one in a building and knifing him. That wasn't the only tank I smashed to bits with a hammer tonight! A good night for it.
I finished all the Codex challenges and got all the field manuals in SP tonight too. The majority weren't difficult, but I had left the '10 kills in 30 seconds with the AA gun' until last as I'd read of people taking over two hours to do it! I thought it seemed tough the first time around but I got it on my second go tonight. Now I just have to whizz through on a hard run.

Tried to join a couple of you over the last few nights but no success.
I click on names, click join game, it adds me to the party, lets me join a game but will then chuck me on the other team or something.
What's the route to join up with others?
If you join a game in progress, it puts you in the first available spot, which may be on the other team. I click on names, click join game, it adds me to the party, lets me join a game but will then chuck me on the other team or something.

You can switch teams in the squad menu if there's space on the other side, or wait until the next round starts to organise. Once you are in the same squad on the same team, you will always be in it.

how do you set a rifle to full auto?, i have upgraded to the next rifle but its only firing single shot.
HELP!!!
Steve
Which rifle? There's only two that can do it. The SL Sweeper (Auto by default) and the Riogotti (I Think), which is single shot and becomes Auto by pressing down on the Dpad. HELP!!!
Steve
ETA, The best rifle IMO is the Mondragon Storm, or Mondragon Optical (If you want a sight but more recoil). Best damage per fire rate vs single shot accuracy at range but it is semi automatic

I have the Rigotti - only 200 warbonds and available at my lowly level. Also got the medic crate unlocked.ETA, The best rifle IMO is the Mondragon Storm, or Mondragon Optical (If you want a sight but more recoil). Best damage per fire rate vs single shot accuracy at range but it is semi automatic

Best Medic Rifles IMO are the:SL Sweeper, which you can just pull and hold the trigger. It has high damage and is full auto but you suffer at range.
Mondragon, (Pick which ever mod set suits you, Storm has a foregrip so no recoil, Optical has a sight but more recoil per shot), this has more damage per shot than the SL, however its only semi automatic and has a slightly slower fire rate. It is significantly better at range however.

Had a couple of fun games with Mastodon2 and Trash this evening. The best turned out to be the one where we had intended to quit. Instead, I gave the Medic class a whirl and found it to be really effective. The semi-auto rifles are excellent, and really pummel marksmen at mid range. I can see my scores spiralling with this class. Even that Cei Rigotti starter rifle is a superb weapon.
