Golf R - Trip To North Wales Inc The EVO Triangle

I was in the camp that thought the Golf R was a bit of a dull drive; I've been in North Wales this week, on damp twisty roads it really comes into it's own. I wish i'd done it sooner.
Some odd 50/national speed limit usage around here though.
It was great. So confidence inspiring and stable up there. It then took my mate and I back to Sussex in comfort whilst getting 35 mpg. Some odd 50/national speed limit usage around here though.

I pulled out of leasing a Golf R due to the waiting times but seeing yours makes me wonder if i should of been more patient....

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the comparison. I felt I was probably quicker acrosss the ground in the R than I would've been in my previous C4S. I guess that's progress for you! Did the triangle in my m3 last year, certainly will return with the golf.

Great photos, lovely car. I lived in North Wales for 6 years until quite recently and never did the evo triangle, though I probably drive on a few bits of it. Those photos are really making me miss the place and regret not driving the full thing!
Thanks! It's stunning up there. :-) Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
