I did a bit of customising and added a PH sticker to my rear window. I forgot about the rear window slats that covered it though. (Ignore the wheels under it, I needed to re-attach my exhaust that fell off after rolling it on the way home from the shops)


I've been making a bit of progress and only need some harnesses before I can attempt a rally now


But as usual that's harder than you'd think. Came out on to the main road and shifted down too early which threw a piston out of the engine. Decided to pull it apart at the side of the road and see how fked it was. The answer is very.

I have been playing this now for a couple of days and I have to say it is really entertaining

I have managed to get the car on its wheels and am currently trying to assemble the engine.

with how unlucky I am I guess I will manage to assemble it and then die on the first test run.

There are some vids on Youtube that show you how to assemble it, if you want to know this.

Otherwise, have fun experimenting.

I'm still yet to get the game as don't have a lot of time for it. Looks great though.

I attempted my first rally yesterday after finally picking up my racing harness.

I think it went well

If you fail to build something on the car right, subsequently crash, then die, does the game give you any pointers as to what went wrong? Or do you have to figure it out for yourself?

Quite often there's a loud clunk and something falls off, or a piston flies out of the engine.

I had a few crashes yesterday because I didn't realise that my brake fluid level had gone down over time and my brakes had become utter ste. Was like a go-kart after doing that, until I parked it in a pond.

I should have mentioned that I have died several times before. Of course each time was on the shop run.

That took me 2 hours to complete....

I have now run out of food

So had a head on collision in the van. Drove the tractor to the van. Had another head on. Drove the lorry to the van. Had another crash...

So now I'm stuck back at the house with no vehicles.....time to restart I think.

Want to cheat your way out of this?
Go to (C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\LocalLow\Amistech\My Summer Car) and delete the 'texture' file. Go back into the game and all the vehicles will be perfect again.

Bought this game after watching a youtuber called Robbaz. This has now taken over from farcry 5. This game is amazing and is holding back the much needed garage refurb.
