I don't need anymore convincing on how much I want this game.
But here's some more gameplay footage (Youtube)
I'm really glad how true to the game they've kept it. same can't be said for when I saw what nintendo did with Donkey Kong, or what happened with Spyro the Dragon.

I used to love this game in my early years. I had a look as I thought it was already out and pre order is full price.
Not complaining about the price as ill get it to re visit my childhood and it will be the first game ill let my 7 year old play on my Playstation.
I hope it don't turn out like the Resident Evil 1 remake. I played the original and loved it but the remake was unplayable as it felt just too slow. I guess we have just evolved with games.

Has anybody got it? What do they think?
Asking as the last remake I brought from the 90's was Resident Evil and I couldn't for the life of me get back into it as the controls where so bad and slow, even though it was brilliant back in the day.
Is the new Crash remake ready for the new consoles?

Will get it at some point but for now I'll emulate the originals. They play probably 90% the same as the remake anyway. The difficulty balance is spot on during this era. Hard but not impossible. It's funny how I'll do a level and still have the muscle memory to time jumps and attacks and I haven't played it properly in 15 years

I have and it's great. It plays just like the originals. Asking as the last remake I brought from the 90's was Resident Evil and I couldn't for the life of me get back into it as the controls where so bad and slow, even though it was brilliant back in the day.

The thing about old resi is that the tank controls were part of what added to the suspense/difficulty, I think they do have an update now on the HD remastered version that allows you do move around in a more normal way using the joystick.
This video compared the PS4 gameplay to the original PS1 games https://youtu.be/AcWRyawH6bw.
It mentions the controls, saying that the original PS1 game was released before the dual shock controller with the thumbsticks was released, so they added the thumbsticks control into the game for PS4. It does look like a very good job of recreating the original game though, with modern lighting, water and effects.
