You can turn the volume of the music down in game through the start menu somewhere - though I'm not sure if that is just the radio or includes mission music. Never tried it.Edition87 - I actually had to turn it off at this point, I felt actual rage!
I'm on the PS4 - Thanks for the advice on headsets/earpiece i'll have a look at the original PS ones and see what happens. I think I may stil have the original ear bud ones in the box for the PS4 thinking about it.

Music volume controls radio & mission music. I've turned it down too because the mission music gets on my wick.

This is a bit strange, am in a public session on my own and trying to source a vehicle to go and steal, and when I log out of the computer, nothing is registered so I can't get any more cars for my warehouse (which is half empty)....anyone else having this problem?

It might be enough to just switch session. If not I'd close the game completely and re-load.
