Wow, that really goes to show just how different the races can be from a different perspective - maybe Cheshire was right all along lol
"Not on my screen"How can I race that play list without one of you guys booting it up? I need some practice! Aside from very ocasionally getting nailed in the ruckus causing me to drop multiple places (which happens to everyone once in a while and I'm guilty of it to the same as most!) the racing is super fair, Joyrider last night waiting up after nudging my rear quarter reinstated my faith in the fairness after a couple of unlucky bumps in previous rounds.
I think a lot of my failing is down to just not knowing the circuits well enough... would like to get some practice flying laps in to help me get out of the back of the grid more consistently.
Once in a while (maybe 1 race per night) I find my form quickly, avoid the ruckus ahead and get up into the top 5- then my inconsistencies creep in and I splash out into a barrier or fly off into the drink.

You can go on the Rockstar Social Club and find all the crew playlists in there, just bookmark it then you can load it up when you like -
The best tip I can give is don't brake (unless you're in a really tight corner obviously). Just ease off on the throttle before a corner then power your way out of it. It keeps the momentum and gives you a much faster exit from the corner which usually gives you the advantage over everyone else that is braking. Once I'd worked this out and practised it this was a total game changer for me. A few of us were talking about this the other night and in my opinion the best thing to do is stick to 1 car and really master it on all types of track - I did this in the Elegy and once I'd really got used to how to drive it (particularly the not braking), I started to win so many more races, and in all other classes too. It's not the easiest of cars to master but it's very rewarding when you do.
Oh, and another tip, if you see an orange bonnet appear at the bottom of your screen that'll be Alex, get away from him as fast as you can before he punts you off

Sorry Noel, I had no idea that it looked like I'd hit you! Soon as I saw you were to the right I hoped to brake hard and dive round the inside.
Some excellent races though, especially that first one of yours. I was really inpressed with the Itali, it didn't have the top end of the Nero but seemed to be able to keep it at bay coming out of corners and acceleration.
I need to investigate it more
As for learning to race faster, one of he best tips I can give is to learn how to predict how a car will react to surfaces etc

A majority of the crew race fair which is nice, there are a couple of regulars that utilise the push to pass function torpedoing you out the way and not apologising or giving the place back. I try and always give the position back if ive clattered into someone unless its Alex - he is fair game... noell35 said:
Get a mike and join in the chat as well Joe
I get on mic ocassionally, normally I'msharing the play list with the missus as she loves gta to and is probably a better racer than me. I'm the token Geordie you'll hear ocassionally, she just pretty much swears the entire race haha

It tends to take me a couple of laps to learn the none braking corners, the slow in fast out hairpins I tend to be quite quick. The best tip I can give is don't brake (unless you're in a really tight corner obviously). As for racing with a set car, supers the T20 is my go to and for sports I stick to the massacaro race car- those two seem to work for me in most scenarios. I am tempted to get a Nero as discussed above- that thing is quick!

Pretty much the only time I race is crew nights, it's a much better experience and genuine fun compared to destruction derby esque pit manoeuvring torpedo wkfest which is random lobby races. If I wipe someone out intentional or not I stop, racing incident I tend to let go as it's inevitable I will bin it soon anyways giving the place and many more back.
I have a right talent for finding the water on any given level, I've landed in the docks/ the alamo sea/ swimming pools whenever the opportunity arises.

Cheers guys!1) I'm only fair game if I've already clattered into you (admittedly that is usually by the first corner or so....)
2) I'm orange for a reason! It's not quite got to the point of people looking behind and being so scared of me they pull over but I'm getting there
(FYI I don't crash into people on purpose, I just take different lines and have issues with braking zones, hitting apex's is not my speciality)
And... our crew racing is a high standard.
I was random racing earlier and was 10secs to 1 minute a lap faster than everyone else.
In context joyrider, Dj, challenger are 10secs better than me.
I think the crew has good respect and high standard. Never forget it's a couple Peter game to have fun. It's nice to socialise with you guys.
I was trying to explain my "online froends" to ham & cheese last week. That went down like a lead balloon but it's a pleasure racing with you weirdos.
Definitely pissed
