It's a mixture of sports/super/coupes - I'll just leave them to whatever class they're set to, they seem to work well in the quick runthrough of it I had earlier...Hmmm, was wondering whether to buy a spectre...scratchchin

That was about the worst nights racing I've had...Sorry to everyone that I hit.

Judging by Werhlien's accident, handles about as well as the in-game machine too!

You weren't the only one, as great as the tracks were, it was all a bit to serious for my liking, so I went back to free mode to clear more of my cars out the warehouse.

Ivan, can I suggest if it's a bit serious for your liking that you don't throw proximity mines to liven things up? I was having a nice battle with Alex until you blew him up, then I discovered you'd thrown another one when I blew up.

Point taken, i'll keep out of the racing in future. Might also be worth doing all races as none-contact as it gets tiresome avoid others only to get tted by someone else.

Nah it's not so fun if there's no danger of collision. They're not normally that bad, was Cheshire around last night?

Having some contact is part of racing. Being blown up by a discarded proximity mine isn't. The reason GTA mode is used is that it permits a pit lane where you can repair your car without having to respawn.

OK I apologies, however as the slowest car on the grid (I know this is my fault, but I was told the races were super and sports cars) and in a GTA races, it was well within the game mode for me to slow the cars in front of me down, having not done a GTA race with the crew before I didn't know it was going to be met with that much opposition, and when it did I kept out of the way so as not to be an issue when I was going to be lapped. I know now.

That said there was some really stty racing going on last night, hence why I left. A little contact is one thing (and we all know the 1st corner is a given) but to lose places avoiding others, only to be punted off the track or into the barriers, all the time listening to others moan about the same thing, is not exactly fun, and when all is said and done, it is meant to be fun, not serious (after last night I now have the full run down on Assetto Corsa) that's what the more real racing sims are for. I know I am far from the best racer in the crew, but I am a long way from being st as well, but to constantly find myself at the back of the grid due to trying to race "clean" while others seem to be treating it as a free for all stings a little.

But again sorry for ruining yours and Alex race. I'll stick to freemode for the time being as this is where I think our crew really shows its best.

Everyone can get a bit salty at times when we're racing but it's generally a good laugh. I tend to duck out on nights where everyone is moaning and crashing into each other but it's rare.

Those of us towards the back of the grid tend to take it a bit more lightheartedly.

I had the problem of starting on the front row and just going backwards, usually hitting pretty much everyone on the way down the order...

More often than not I seem to end up around last place after the first corner regardless of what position I started in, and whilst it is frustrating (the most frustrating part being when people don't let you correct yourself, but rather plough through you to get in front) I actually quite like the challenge of catching up and trying to make my way up the field. Guess you've just got to accept that it's gonna happen at some point.

Just blame WilkiBob for putting the proximity mine idea in your head lol, I'm sure he threatened to throw some at me just before you threw yours out wink

Yeah I had that a couple of weeks ago. I think I prefer starting nearer the back. At least when I make my inevitable stupid mistake I'm not slowing anyone down behind me laugh.

Also worth remembering that more often or not, most tracks we race on are in GTA mode simply because it allows the inclusion of a pit lane with health pick ups in

OK to move on from the "Ivan is not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy for using mines and being annoyed at being crashed into " discussion, I need to flesh out my garage as I am missing a few race worthy vehicles in certain classes. Is there a list of lap times any where. Save me going through all of King broughys videos.

What classes do you need?

We can probably get most of the top cars from each class into a session for yo to try out if there are enough of us about.

I crashed so much last night it was ridiculous. Usually in to stationary things but obviously that has a knock on effect when I found myself spinning uncontrollably. Usually right in front of Jim!

Coupes.....no surprise hehe

Sports classic. (Not a big fan of the Stirling having used it in Import/Export)

Think SUV or 4X4 as well, can't remember which the contender falls into, but I'll be missing the top from the other class.

Coupes is the Felon (the four door one) or the Ubermacht Zion. The Exemplar is quick but it doesn't corner as well as the cars with spoilers.

The Stirling is the quickest sport classic by far. The Pigalle will just about keep up with it on tracks with long straights but there isn't really anything else in the same league. The Casco and Z-Type are quick but again without the spoiler they struggle with corners.

Off road is the Trophy Truck and/or The BF400.

Watching Herr Broughy's latest video (unmodified cars) made me realise how quick the Contender is. Quicker than the Pisswasser Dominator and Stirling GT eek
