Also, its the end of Sentinels! It seems all modded NPC cars (Sentinels & all the gang cars, maybe more) will chuck you out as soon as you get in them, saying "you don't have access to this personal vehicle". I guess it could be a mistake but for the moment no more farming!

Isaw a few of you were playing the new races last night, any good?

they're good fun. Just be careful using the voltic's rocket boost around corners, and avoid using it then hitting someone from behind as it seems to stops you dead (while not affecting them). most of the big jumps with the ruiner 2000 don't really require you to have to use the parachute I find.

The Voltic races kinda benefit from catchup and slipstream bizarrely, since otherwise the boost recharges so quick there's no real skill or tactics involved.

The Ruiner races are brilliant, great fun and tactical, the Blazer Aqua ones are just plain silly, but a good laugh.

On a related note though, if Saiph ever suggests inviting a friend from Rocket League, tell him no.

yeh, the boosting doesn't add a whole load to the Voltic races ... which is odd.

Also, another thing I noticed is the "aggregate" setting.. which adds up your aggregate position from passing the checkpoints and 1st to the target points wins... so you can be 1st for 90% of the race yet be last at the end and still "win" ...

Yeh, I tried it with 2 others, I was in the lead for the whole race so didnt find much benefit, but won before the 3 laps were up!

Would be good for full lobbies with catchup / slipstream though...

HAHA, I warned that he might annoy you before I invited him. Hes only just started an is desperate to earn some cash. I had to laugh when he asked if he could join the Pistonheads and Challenger just flat out said "No."

According to the swede masher it's on the pace of the cars we used for the st supercar races, so people could use those if they don't have a gp1
