Loved that playlist, this was the only race I recorded, some cracking close racing in the first 2 laps, a spectacular wipeout between me DJ and Noel just before the end of the first lap, then our psychic powers working on Alex and getting him to crash in the 3rd :-)

Are you wired or wireless? Often the internet companies will give you their 'best speed' which is either right next to the router or wired. But yes, that'll be it!

I do check that out to be honest, still there are some cars I like to test myself- everyone drives differently and my skill level is substantially lower than his.

I don't think the new gp1 will be particularly competitive against the top supers in my hands anyway, but its such a cool looking car it's definitely a keeper.

I'm using 5mhz wifi, of which always used to show 30mb+ download over wifi. I know the fastest speeds are via Ethernet.
We are out of contract, it our only option in the village is a BT line, so no point involving a separate ISP.
BT said they couldn't see any problems, so I'll factory reset the router and see if that makes any difference. I doubt it will., I'm fully aware of tech support tell them to reboot and hope for the best!

DJ- mines pretty st down here in wurzel land , i've found resetting the router before the race has helped a bit .

Is it BT retail specific or just the BT openreach lines you have in the area?

It might be a BT line, but are they implementing traffic shaping etc ?

Not sure about the BT ones, but the routers Sky give out for Fibre have a good modem but crap wifi. I can be sat next to the router and only get half the speed of a wired connection. I switched off the wireless and bought a good access point to run the wireless - much better. The other thing is to look for contention, if you can do it you might be better switching off the 2.4Ghz band completely.

Another good example of my raging incompetence this morning. I thought I'd linked my old xbox account to my RSC account ages ago and I hadn't played enough to unlock the returning player content, turns out I hadn't and I had . Got that sweet exclusive content just in time for everyone else to get it .
