Anyone id seiko lcd watch 1970's ?
Discussion
Hi folks , apologies if you expected a picture.
Back in 78 my parents bought me a Seiko lcd watch for 18 th birthday.
Some yrs later it disappeared , probably thrown out by accident with some junk .
I've kept an eye out for another the same but never seen one.
I would like to replace it if possible .
Description
Steel bracelet .s steel Rounded square face .
Basic function lcd , time and date . No extra functions iirc .
The most unique feature was the seconds display which flashed and filled in six segments in shape of a small watch face.
Most watches had led displays then so think was an early Lcd model. Fairly expensive in the day .
Any ideas .
Thanks Dave

Is this the watch? http://www.sometimeago.com/seiko-0532-5019/
993AL & NeMiSiS,
Wow, the power of pistonheads, thanks folks.
Relying on memory they look pretty damn close, both are same watch (0532-5019 model) but the stainless one is, I think same as my old one.
I shall investigate the stainless/silver one, no price on the add though !
I know the model now, I have found some similar models on previous searches but these are definitely the closest if not same watch.
many thanks Dave.

After some more searching I have, with the help of the watch model no' 0532 5019 (which was v kindly passed on) finally put this thing to bed.
The exact watch was an 0532 5009 circa 1975/6 , slightly different case but same face and display.
Found one, described as 'new, old stock , (not bad from 1970's) of which I'm now awaiting arrival.

Thanks again for help. Dave
