For some reason Windows is not letting you access the downloaded files properly. Could be anti-virus software. Steve C had a similar problem and it was to do with admin rights. He created a new admin user on the pc and ran it through that account.

I opened up all the security where I'm trying to install it because I was getting Steam update errors and someone suggested then Win10 security settings are cobblers.

Last chance to get some points tonight. For those of you sick of that bloody McLaren there's a new race available.

My original problem was related to a corrupted admin account in Win 10, probably present since I upgraded but never tested. Whenever I tried to run the downloaded file, Win 10 blocked it and wouldn't let me move forward no matter what. I'm no IT expert, but not a complete numpty either, & spent > hour googling solutions & playing / testing with settings to no avail.

As stated above, eventually I created a 2nd admin account which is "clean" and use that. Still need to go back and delete the original admin account.

Last few days have been sorting out HMRC and paying the tax man...hopefully get on the racing rig and have a crack at sorting this tonight. I managed to install the previous version ok. I have changed my SSD since then but I've checked security settings and permissions are open.

Weird but woohoo. To remind myself in the future if it happens again.

I deleted the C:\Users\Simon\AppData\Local\Temp\Deployment\ folder and re-ran setup and bingo it works...phew

Something weird going on with my assists...I've set to real, checked with mapped buttons and everything is n/a, but the packet data is sending info that says i am using all assists...PCLapUpdater isn't sending any of my laps and the PCars leaderboard shows my laptime as all assists on...

Anybody had a similar issue?

I quite like this new track / car, although I seemed to spend a lot of time facing the wrong way again.

The app thinks I'm on the wrong track! Missing "road circuit" it's just called bannochbrae.

Track is nice.
Car is a challenge.

The car / track combo I don't think match at all.

Also, Using the PC Lap Updater, on PS4, it does not upload my laptimes due to circuit name being different... it is just "Bannochbrae" instead of "Bannochbrae Road Circuit".

Fixed, all over Project Cars it says the circuit is called Bannochbrae Road Circuit, but the UDP data feed sends BanncochBrae. Aaaaargh

Great combo. Car and track match really well. This thing grips like stink but can still be caught in a slide. Loving it.

Maybe Rex.
I had to buy the Stance nation DLC for this. Nevrr touched the track until today.
Maybe thats my frustration lol.

Just feels like the car is better at a larger flat track like Donny or Silverstone.

Much better car and track choice.

Had some huge offs at the kink between the houses but so satisfying when you get it right.
